This is spot on dead accurate, so it does what it's supposed to do, however it came a little dinged up. Not a good sign when this is supposed to be tool to benchmark accuracy against. Nonetheless, it works!

    I was prompted by Amazon to review this item.
    I got this standard rod to check a new digit caliper.
    I measured a minimal deviation from the 25mm reference length (25.01mm). Is the rod correct with a caliper error? Is the caliper correct, but this rod is slightly off? I do not know, but at least I can believe both are close enough for what I need.
    So YES, this is a decent tool to around in case I drop my calipers & need to know if they still work.
