|Information on Green Products|
A growing number of manufacturers are producing green home cleaning products that are healthier and more environmentally responsible. Currently, there is no industry standard definition for natural cleaners. The manufacturers of products in our Green Store have represented that they are not tested on animals, come in recyclable packaging, and contain ingredients that are non-toxic, biodegradable, and free of petrochemicals. You will find the ingredients for these cleaning products clearly listed on our web site or the product package. Paper or plastic items in our Green Store are ones that the manufacturer states are either 100% biodegradable or made from 100% recyclable material. Batteries featured in our Green Store are ones that that manufacturer has indicated are rechargeable.

So for a long time, we used small paper plates to feed our feline overlords their wet food dinners. Handy for being easily disposable... not so handy when little noses were constantly pushing food off the edges and onto the floor. Then I found these bowls, and I swear the clouds parted and the heavenly host sang Hosana.
Ok, maybe not that last part... but it SHOULD have happened!
These bowls are perfect for feeding your feline masters. It's almost as if they were designed with them in mind. They're just the right size, and the perfect depth, and you don't end up with little dried flakes of Fancy Feast Chicken Florentine hiding out beneath your storage freezer where it begins to smell after a while... not that I'd know anything about that.
Surprisingly, these bowls are also very useful for humans... particularly if you're trying to do a bunch of advanced prep-work in the kitchen and don't want to have a sink full of small dishes to wash when you're done. They're especially useful for holding minced garlic and onions until you're ready to toss them in a pan with some olive oil... and yes, I would know quite a bit about that (unlike the Fancy Florentine Fiasco).
These are also great for parceling out small quantities of snacks for hungry kids, grandkids or husbands... or, you know, if you want to sneak a small bowl of Goldfish crackers out into the family room and you don't want to share!
They are surprisingly useful for portion control when dishing out ice cream as well...Read more ›
One, the bowls are hard to separate from each other, like really hard, and I got frequent paper cuts trying to do so. Sometimes the bowls would get bent up or ripped in trying to separate the bowls. I hated that.
Two, the bowls don't do so well with liquids, especially hot liquids. Hot soups start soaking into the bowls pretty quick. Milk and cereal soak in after 5 or 10 minutes, but it isn't such a big deal because I don't let my cereal get soggy. At least we know the bowls ARE biodegradable and better for the earth.
If you are using the bowls for things such as ice cream, fruit, candy, craft items, etc, the bowls are great. They actually did remarkably well for holding house paint, no sog.
So, bottom line. The bowls are a very economical good buy if you intend to use the bowls for solid items or thick liquids and take the time to wear gloves and separate the bowls out beforehand.
Very versatile, quite durable, and even with frequent use the 600 bowls will last year a good 7-9 months!
I nest them in heavy glass custard cups to keep them from scooting around when the cats eat. If you want a sense of their size, my custard cups are 6-oz. Anchor Hocking cups with an inner diameter at the top of 3.75 inches, if that helps. Like these:
These sugar cane containers are putting recycleable, biodegradeable waste to good use. Plus, I'm saving hot water by not washing cat dishes every day, so now I can use throwaway dishes without guilt. Matter of fact, I like these so much I'm going to order some plates and such for times I don't want to wash my own dishes.
Pro: firm and strong
Con: 1. 12 ounce is bit too small for regular amount of side or soup
2. Doesn't come with the lid.. you have to buy the lid seperately
