Ease of assembly:
Putting this fitness contraption together was no harder than the lego sets I used as an eight year old boy, so 5/5.
The picture is an accurate representation of what the SPT will look like. I would compare it to wearing jeans and a t-shirt, in the sense that its presentable and no frills.
Going back to the no frills comment, I would appreciate more grip options on the pullup bar and pushup handles. Also, as a taller person i have noticed that the cross bars are exactly where I want to space my hands for chinups, so I have to use a slightly wider than desired grip unless I'm doing neutral grip. The pullup bar is a little narrow for my grip, it is very good for gripping though. The entire structure does wobble laterally during dips/pullups,
I'm pleased with the SPT as my first fitness tower, I think it will serve as a good starting piece of equipment for my home gym. I will advise students that this is a great buy for the price and to people with more money to invest on a fitness tower I would advise you to look into the next "tier" of fitness towers that typically range 175-300$.
TL;DR: If you're on a tight budget this is a good purchase, if you have more money get something better.
The bar DOES have swing to it, more than what would occur with a door-based pull up bar. Yes, it should not swing if you use good form. However, pushing yourself to get the last rep often results in that tug, and that tug has never resulted in feeling as though the tower would fall over.
And like everyone else-- the box showed up like it had been through a war zone but everything inside was amazingly ok.
