☆5 colors in total, but more like 3.
☆The Aged Black is pretty much useless, and Detail Gold and Pirate Gold are pretty much the same thing.
☆Gold Tinsel is a richer and more textured sparkle, where as Jeweled Gold is lighter.
☆All are embossed using Versamark Frost and a Darien Heating Gun on plain, white, copy paper. After two failed attempts at getting the black to stay put, I finally resorted to using Elmer's glue stick and it's still all patchy.
Apart from the fact that I feel like you're only getting three colors, I do like those colors a lot.

This is at least the second variety pack I've purchased from Stampendous, and I love all the different gold/bronze shades of embossing powder that are included. It's a great way to experiment with something new and not break the bank. The black embossing powder is very chunky, so be sure to use a large stamp that doesn't have too much detail and heat from under the paper so it doesn't blow off. I also love the different shades of gold in this pack, there's one that's pretty holographic and then one that's closer to a bronze and then a "true" gold too- it's just a great mix. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try embossing powder for the first time or if you're looking to experiment with different weights of embossing powder or just to get a "feel" for this brand, I doubt you'll be disappointed with this set!

This set of embossing powders has such versatility on one package! You can achieve looks of smooth gold foil, fine gold glitter, chunky gold glimmer, and a matte gold finish with each of the golds. The black/gold also creates a cool effect that makes embossing with black powder interesting!
The first project I used these for was a set of wooden hangers for our wedding party. So easy to use!
Quick tip: Avoid rubbing your hand on the surface prior to writing on it with embossing ink and pouring the powder on. Embossing powder seeks moisture and you can end up with your words/drawing covered in powder as well as the surrounding area. Blowing the excess off can get messy - so keep a small towel down or a tiny vacuum. You also will benefit from a small paintbrush that can brush powder off of the surface where you don't want it to be. Each vial will do a lot of projects. For our wedding, I've done several things and you can barely tell I've used the vials at all.
Here's the heat gun I bought: Darice Embossing Multi-Purpose Heat Tool, 320 Watt
Here's the embossing pens I use: Ranger Inkssentials Embossing Pens, 2-Pack, Black And Clear
Enjoy!

The product came as it is pictured. However, the colors of the jars are NOT labeled. The colors are stated on the outside in order as packed. I peeled the label off cut it and stuck it to each jar.

These work well, but I like them to be thicker, these to me are light when it comes to the embossing. I think to a tip that static electricity will effect use...especially in the winter...use a fabric softner sheet.

Normally Stampendous is a good product line. However, these powders were not worth using. Got a refund, but a warning to not waste your time with this batch. Needed the gold, ended up having to find some other brand.

Technically this was a gift - so in terms of actual use I'm not too sure. However, this comes in an AWESOME color set for anyone looking for a metallic mix.

Nice. Some of the darker colors seem a bit chunkier then the lighter ones. But they overall are nice. Adds a nice touch to my projects

Very affordable and considerably cheap compared to other powders. Tried all the powders and liked 1 kind (which they included 2 bottles of 🙌🏼) don’t mind the glittery ones but probably won’t use it too much as it appears rough. Tried them all on different surfaces (smooth pleather, textured pleather, glass, steel/metal, paper, cardboard, hard plastic) and my favorite and the one that goes on really well is the fine gold ones (not the glittery)

Embossing powder is chunky not fine

Too chunky. Not useful at all for text sentiments. If you are a beginner like me, think again before ordering these.
