Peg mounts for trumpets are great! They keep your horn safe, and encourage you to grab it and at least play a few scales or do some flexibility exercises with your chops before going to bed.

I purchased this trumpet peg mount through Amazon last year, and I've loved having it. I purchased another horn and when I was going to order a second mount, the Standard mount was no longer in stock... so I started looking. I found that I could order the Standard directly from the manufacturer, but it came with a shipping charge... so I kept looking. I then found and ordered a trumpet peg mount from String Swing (HH12H Horizontal Trumpet Holder). The String Swing trumpet peg mount was about 1/3 cheaper than the Standard.

So I am using both the Standard and the String Swing, and I prefer the String Swing. Its pegs have a slight upturn on the end to keep the horn on, are a bit longer, and have some cushioning. You can also angle the horn with the String Swing, if you're so inclined (sorry, pun wasn't intended <grin>). I keep mine horizontal. The Standard mount has the pegs at a 6" spacing; the String Swing mount has a 5" spacing. I have both a trumpet (Schilke MII) and a cornet (Conn 85A Pro Constellation); the Standard mount works better with the trumpet than it does with the cornet. The String Swing mount works with both the trumpet and the cornet.

The Standard mount works, and my trumpet is safe... but if I had to do over again, I'd get the String Swing trumpet peg mount instead...

This trumpet wall mount WOULD be great, except the pegs are too short! The pegs are definitely not as long in reality as they are in the photo. When I put my trumpet on the mount, the pegs are only long enough to fit under the lead pipe, so when I leave it up, the trumpet is half held up, then tilts forward until the bottom of the valves is touching the wall, so my horn is just leaning forward the whole time and it doesn't look good. Seriously, who measured how long the pegs should be?? I only rated it at two stars instead of one because they got it to me so quickly, so kudos for that. But the mount is simply not worth the money if it can't even hold my trumpet up correctly.

Nice stand; it does the job without standing out. I use this with an old short-model cornet and it's quite secure. I would advise putting it in a location where people will not be walking as there is no locking mechanism and you don't have the weight to secure it as in a guitar hook.

My husband has a small collection of trumpets that we have been looking to mount to our office/studio wall without damaging the trumpet. We added these to our Amazon Wishlist and my mom bought 2 for my husband for Christmas. They are exactly what we were looking for. He can remove the trumpet to practice or for performances and they look great on the wall. He is currently restoring my dad's childhood trumpet, so we will be ordering another one soon!
