Stanley gives you the perfect accessory when sawing with this FatMax Twin Pack Folding Sawhorse (060864R). Lightweight and easy to transport, it has top rubber points to help secure the surface in place while you work. It has a tray that conveniently holds your tools and side hangers to hold cables. The V-groove holds materials in place as you saw. Perfect for sawing lumber and pipes, construction, and remodeling applications. The set comes with two folding sawhorse.

The horses themselves are not bad and have a pretty good design that should last the test of time but they have received no "finishing" after being taken out of the molds (the plastic parts are injection molded and very sloppily at that). I have attached some pictures to showcase the cleanup I had to perform, the problem was that the overflow was all throughout the mechanism that was supposed to fold and make the horse be portable! Once cleaned up they worked much better but I spent about 10-20 minutes with a utility knife in order to remove all of the excess material that was getting in the way of the hinge/folding mechanisms. For this price they should not have had this much overflow in a critical section of the equipment that was actually causing it not to be used as intended!
It's not the weight you put on these, it's the way they're manufactured. I feel like they work very well when they're opened up, but the act of collapsing and expanding them has broken all of the clasps on one. I'm assuming that's a manufacturing defect considering the other one only has one broken clasp, which I could live with. I don't know how I could give this anything other than one star because I can't remember the last thing I purchased that fell apart so quickly.
Poor construction, over-priced, WAY too short = MAJOR FAIL. C'MON Stanley! You can do MUCH better!
This set absolutely sucks. The folding hinge on the bottom is garbage. After opening and closing the things a couple of times, I lost more than 1/2 of the plastic pieces of the hinge at the bottom. A few more times of using it, they won't be connected at all. Even worse, it takes two hands to set it up, because every time you open them, you need to line up every one of the teeth to make sure you don't break another one off.
As the cliche goes, I'd give these ZERO stars if I could. They only reason they get one star is that they actually work as sawhorses once they are set up.
But these ones are either made from softer or thinner plastic, and the bottom folding tray/spacers do not stay snapped together.
Every time they are folded the center clip sections come apart, so you can't fold them properly or unfold them. It is beyond annoying because you have to fight to get the clips snapped back into place before you can do anything with the horses, and the trays are not removable, so you are trying to snap together a bunch of badly fitting and misaligned plastic knuckles before the sawhorses can be used. One of the clips already snapped off, which makes me think these are a whole lot cheaper than the ones I had been using.
I'm giving them two stars instead of one only because when they are finally set up with the trays locked down, and after the struggle to get the knuckles to lock together so the trays will drop down, the horses are reasonably stable
These are not for commercial or industrial use. Residential, DIY, small project use. If you need a set for everyday use, spend the money on a higher quality (not plastic) set. Nothing wrong with these, they are just not meant for constant, heavy duty use.
The only drawback is the hinge system on the bottom, it comes apart fairly easily. Just pay attention when you open and close the sawhorse and you'll be fine.
- Fold up and easy to store
- Couple hooks and the table on the bottom are all useful
- Great for occasional, lightweight use
- Hinge system does not stay together well and one piece of mine broke
- Not heavy duty (knew this going in)
Great buy if you don't have to use these every day. I've only used them half a dozen times and probably won't use them again for a while.
I read with interest the assessment by "doc holliday", an earlier reviewer, and take his point. These are certainly strong enough for what most of us will do with them over the weekends, but for more grueling professional work - you're just going to have to spend more money. I like them - they give me just the strength and portability that I need at a great price.
Top international reviews
-Compact, easy to store away when not in use
-Strong, no play in them at all when they are folded out they are solid!
-Side hooks and bottom shelves come in handy!
-Lightweight, yeah it can be a pro and a con, If you have material on top of the sawhorses and you want to move it you have to lift it up and move it if you try to slide it they will move. You could fix this by placing a heavy object on the bottom shelf. Other than that they are perfect!
-DID NOT receive the mentioned saw and accessories as advertised!
-Would recommend to anyone in need of sawhorses!
In my case, these work great. I use them and a piece of plywood to hold up my radial arm saw, and for a work table to cleaning my rifles out doors, or to bring to the range as a makeshift table. I haven't had a single issue yet. I've actually abused them quite a bit and they have no signs of wear and tear. Yet.
I would not put any pressure on any parts other than directly downwards. Any side force could possibly buckle and crack the rigid plastic joints and hinges.
You get what you pay for. If you want cheap saw horses that are good for light renovations and as a work table, look no further. Professional contractors or people living in adverse climates may want something sturdier.
We needed some sawhorses for some light home projects like sanding and staining. They are perfect for that - they are lightweight but secure and stable. They told up flat which is great for storage afterward. No issues. Would definitely recommend them for home projects.
