When the headlights were accidently left turned on overnight on the coldest night we had in Georgia (below 0), we had a dead Prius on our hands. The insurance company sent a guy out to tow us, and instead he started it right up with this Stanley 450 AMP jump starters. We ordered one immediately, and it works like a champ. We don't leave headlights on any longer either!!

Handy tool to have if you don't have anyone to give you a jump or have the cables. Also has a USB outlet so you can charge a phone or tablet if need be. This pack also has a car charging port if that is the only connection cable whatever device you need to charge. There is also a air compressor that helps if you have a low tire. Unfortunately the air gauge isn't accurate so you will need an additional tool to check your tires PSI. In the manual it says to charge for about 24hrs on the first charge. I've recently had to recharge it. I haven't had it die on me yet. If you do not check the power gauge to see the led status which is red, yellow, and , green the battery may die on you. For the price it isn't to bad. I don't like that it came from Sam's club but w/e. This product is kinda hefty and isn't extremely small but may be heavy to be carrying around. I keep it in my truck and use it when needed. I check once a month to see the battery status.

I was surprised that it didn't have a power cord, then realized that my other chargers have cords that are too short to ever be able to use without an extension cord. Since I have to get out the extension cord to use it, eliminating the weight and cord mess of a power cord was really smart. I had a vehicle that was very hard to start and the unit was able to crank it at full speed for nearly a minute before it started. I've never been able to do that with any other device (even with jumper cables to a strong alternator you see some droop before a minute).

This product is one of the reasons I have become a fan of Stanley. I frequently use this power pack to start a 12.5 HP compressor for my stone engraving business. I was able to start my compressor 10 times before I needed to recharge it. I've also used it to jump start my pick-up truck. I appreciate that the unit does NOT come with a power cord that have to not lose. Just plug any extention cord in the unit and it charges. I've not used the compressor on this unit since I have big compressors with me all the time. I noticed on the sticker it says to not use the compressor for more than 10 minutes at a time, tho'. It's not lubricated like big compressors so it gets too hot. That's also why it's so loud. Take note of that detail.
