So why can't more tool bags store items vertically? Well, this one does but doesn't sacrifice storage space.
This tool bag is typical of the "electrician's style": tools stack vertically in the center with 12 pockets on the outside (8 deep wide, 2 deep narrow; 1 sleeved flap; 1 zipped pocket).
The 10 deep pockets are able to hold wrenches and screwdrivers securely. They are limited the flat/narrow-like items that I mentioned.
The flap pocket contains six sleeves for screwdriver or drill bits and it can store other small bits you may have. The sleeves are fairly deep which make them good for holding 3" bits but not 2" bits.
The zipped pocket is the largest pocket.
The inner compartment is divided into two halves and the divider is removable. It holds screwdrivers mainly and even has belt clip to let you wear it. I've yet to actually do this and while it's somewhat gimmicky I imagine that it would be of assistance to you standing at the top of a ladder for example.
The rim of the compartment has several loops to holds items in place. At the bottom of the bag below each loop are pockets which might be for holding items in place but they might just be due to the bag's construction.
Because the loops are around the rim and not set into rows like some electrician's bags, you can still store large items like impact drivers, batteries and other bulky items.Read more ›
The whole construction has ridged support for the sides. The handle brackets are stiff but flexible, and are reinforced. The D ring attachment will last for a very long time.
The plastic bottom is a somewhat slippery, but if it were a rubber bottom the product would be much more in price. You'll never have to replace the bag because a tool caused a break in the bottom.
The center divider is movable and I personally don't use it. This allows me to insert my whole leather tool belt inside the large mouth opening. The divider is kind of hokey, but I can see that some people will use it.
I really do use the release clip to undo the handle to facilitate ease of handling various tools. Sometimes I also use the shoulder strap to free my hands up.
The only thing I would like to see is a pocket for a large Fat Max tape measure. Never have liked those metal clip type tape measure holders.

Really like this. Only thing I would change would be the size of the interior straps for tools. But it's definitely a strong and versatile product,Published 18 months ago by Sweet B
