I have a (now) older Meile dishwasher. The springs holding the door closed seem to have loosened up and the door always hung open a few inches when it was supposed to be closed. And when you opened the door, it fell to the full open position, whereas when the machine was new, it would stay in any partially open position you wanted it to.
I got some advice on fixing this problem, which entailed turning a screw hidden under the rubber door gasket. But, you had to use a T20 Torx screwdriver. So I bought this tool, and while I don't like to have a tool in my tool box that is good for only one thing, this tool absolutely did the trick and fixed the door. I was also quite confident using the tool as I was warned not to turn the screw too much and read that one of the things this tool prevents is accidental overtightening.
So, right tool, right job and saved the cost of a repair person coming to the house.
