Happy with these pliers. They're very easy to grip and work well.
I don't know how metal could feel cheap, but these pliers do. One of the grips came off when I picked it up out of the box. The two metal pieces of the pliers are fastened together very loosely, far more than necessary. I have owned quality Stanley tools in the past, but this certainly isn't one. I would spring an extra buck or two for a better quality set.
HOWEVER, (2016) my most recent order of this SAME product shows me that it has been redesigned with a SLIPPERY grip, even though the newly designed grip is textured-- it does not have the feel of the older one that I have (older by a year or two). I cannot grip this with the same confidence that I had when I use the other older model..
