I ordered three of these units to provide showers for a large group of people camping in the Nevada desert. The shower heads are much nicer than the Zodi units I've used in the past and a holder for the shower head is included in the box. But unfortunately the heart of the system- the battery powered pump- has major issues. First off, one of the three units was DOA. Since I didn't want to wait for a return unit, I did my own troubleshooting and found a wire had come loose on the circuit board containing the switch inside the battery case. Probably a major issue for the average consumer, but not a big deal for someone who owns a soldering iron and isn't afraid to use it. But after I fixed that particular defect, things only got worse. The water pressure from the pumps is really low. I'm not expecting city water pressure, but only 1 of the 3 units could raise water 6 feet. If you're 6 feet tall and your water source is resting on the ground then this is a real issue. But the biggest issue is the design of the top of the submersible centrifugal pump. There is a threaded plastic end that seals the pump housing where the wires that power the pump enter. Unfortunately the plastic this end is threaded on to is so weak (or they consistently over-torque the ends during assembly) that this part snapped off two of the three units that I ordered. They added a small piece of metal coiled around the electrical wire and the output hose and I was initially curious what this was for since it looks like kind of an afterthought. But now I realize it was an attempt to keep any lateral force on the wire from breaking the top of the pump housing. I only figured this out because it wasn't enough to keep two of the three units from breaking.Read more ›

We bought this shower so we wouldn't have to take the kids to the shower house at the campground. We have a pop up with no outside shower, so this will also be handy just to have around if we need a quick spray off from the beach. I love the fact that it has a much better shower head than any other shower bag or system under $100 we looked at. The long hose makes it easy to keep the bucket out of the way, and the hook or suction cup makes it handy to hang and not have to hold during the entire shower. It turns on and off at the handle easily, so no fighting with it while you're soapy or chasing the kid around the shower tent. The one we got is green, if that makes a difference to you, and it came with a pop up bucket (we are opting to use a regular bucket instead). ***The only drawback we found ... It does have 2 settings, but they seem to only represent on and off as it does not have the greatest water pressure*** We have not yet taken it on week-long trips, so I am not sure how long the batteries will last. Take a spare set, or in our case the battery charger just in case.

I wanted this product to use at my hunting camp where, over the last 20 years, I've just been using a sun shower (large bag with spout that uses gravity for water to come out) in the shower stall. My camp has electricity, just no running water, so I thought this would be a HUGE upgrade to actually have running water for my shower. When I first received the product I was excited that it worked in my home shower stall just as a test before I hit the field. It also worked out of the back of my truck to wash my hands on a day hunt. Then came my 6 day hunting trip and the thing wouldn't work. The pump hummed just like before, but no water came out. I had to drive 45 minutes to the nearest store and bought extra batteries (thought I had packed extra ones before I left home) and still no water. Very frustrated I started taking it apart and everything seemed OK, little blades were spinning and no clogs since I could suck water through hose. Since I'm not going to use any expletives, I'll simply say it is a POS and I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone-DO NOT PURCHASE, unless you like to be disappointed.

It does work, but I was a little disappointed at the low water pressure. i felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode with a "low flow shower". But that is the limitation with using 4 D-Cell batteries. Perhaps it would work better if it used a rechargable 6 volt battery? I will still use it and it does work as advertised - just don't expect a lot of water pressure.
