After this picnic table set arrived, we have done cookout in the backyard 3 times and loved it. It cleans up easily and after each use, we just fold it up and put it away within a minute so it doesn't take up space when not needed. I also sit there in the morning to read the paper. Wonderful time. Summer is coming, and this set is definitely going on the road with us. A nearby park, tailgating, lakeside picnic, fishing trip, camping, whitewater rafting, national park trips. Think of all the possibilities!
Is it really worth five stars? Let me address the negatives some reviewers mentioned:
1. It is way too small for adult use.
I checked all available models out there before the purchase and found that all portable picnic tables are of the same model and size, just with different material. If you want portability, this is your only choice. My family has 3 adults and one teenager. We all sat on the chairs and they worked fine. Note though, that none of us are overweight. If you have many extra inches on you, you may feel a little crammed.
2. It is made of cheap material
Well, look how little it cost!!! What do you expect?Read more ›
You have to be very gentle with this table. Sitting down and getting up with care.
Also, you have to setup the table on a hard even surface. We used it for camping and parks,
which is either on grass or dirt. The legs will shift when sitting and cause bending.
The legs are aluminum, but are attached to plastic, and the plastic eventually gave and cracked.
This table is a great idea, it folds up nicely and is very lightweight and super convenient.
But ultimately, it is not worth the money. If it had been made fully of metal, and was sturdy, I
would easily recommend. I wish I could return it.
It is made of very flimsy plastic and I could feel the seats giving underneath me when I sat down (140 lbs). We put it in the truck and took it with us on our camping trip. When we opened it at the campground the table had a 4" crack in it. The truck was packed tight - nothing slid into it, but apparently something pressed up against it and cracked it. If an adult sat on it, they immediatly got up and moved to another chair (camping with 5 families). It was fine for the kids to sit at and eat, but defintely not something for adults. And if the kids are rambunctious - you'll probably only get one use out of this table.
I was VERY disappointed.
Hold it! The second time this was used, in Quartzsite AZ, it failed under me. Not repairable. I think the Jan 2016 trip I will bring my separate folding table and use a couple of folding chairs. I was amazed this little unit held up under 600 lbs Jan 2014 but the weight and uneven dirt took it's toll.
I did have to remove the umbrella most of the time, because of the wind (It inverted it at one point, and almost tipped the table over at another), but that was not the fault of the table, or the umbrella, more the gusty local winds where I was camping.
At the end of my trip, it folded up nicely, and even fit back in it's original cardboard box.
It sits now in my garage awaiting it's next use - likely at the end of August. I am quite satisfied with it, for the price.
Had I paid several hundreds of dollars, I would be rather disappointed, but I got it on sale, for under $50. If it lasts even half of my next trip I will think I got my monies worth, and be happy with it, as long as it doesn't suffer a catastrophic failure and collapse while I am using it or something.

Not as sturdy as I would have thought, but works well. Folds up small and is easy to pack.Published 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
Low seating definely not stable or sturdy, but I like the fact that it folds, although I just leave it in the back yard. So the kids have something to sit on and get some shade.Published 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
