I must state up front that I initially disapproved of them as a couple because I thought it would be an unbalanced relationship but boy was I proven wrong. These two balanced each other perfectly and even though Lola appeared to be a heartless biatchi in the previous books, I saw how she could be compassionate when she intervened with Sofi & Jackson when they seemed as if they were going to break up. She helped out Sofi and Jackson big time, so I knew there was some kindness beneath that icy exterior of hers. I was so sad and angry on her behalf because of childhood and I realize that Lola had to battle for almost everything she had and she didn't know how to stop fighting. She also had major abandonment issues and lack of support with the exception of three people in her life, her grandparents & Jackson. When she initially met Sam she noticed him but did not take him seriously until they met again in Vegas. Thank you Ms. Schurig for another great addition to the Lovestruck series. I enjoyed this book tremendously and thank you very much for continuing with Sofie & Jackson and Lizzie & Thomas. I can hardly wait for the second book with Sophie and Jackson's engagement & wedding.
Lovestruck is my favorite of Rachel Schurig's series, and that's saying a lot because they're all wonderful.
Lola Fisher has been the girl you love to hate since the first book in the series. Now, she finally gets to have her say, and we get to know the person under the facade. Lola seems to have it all, but she's actually lonely and scared. She has no family and very few friends to turn to so when she finds her career in trouble she doesn't know where to turn.
Enter Sam Medina. Gorgeous, funny, and in a rut of his own. He and Lola agree to help each other out. What follows is a sweet, sometimes rocky, and very right coming together of 2 people from very different worlds, but each has something the other needs.
I hope this isn't the last installment in this series. I'm already wanting more.
