Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler, and the rest of the Cerritos crew are back and funnier than ever in their action packed adventures. Mariner still struggles in following orders and Boimler is still uptight. This season also has some DS9 characters make an appearance. The HD is also amazing.

    I was going to attend a Star Trek gathering with a couple of the voice talent of The Lower Decks. I am a Star Trek fan having seen almost all of the series, new and old. But I never bothered with this animated series. So, I figured I'd better see it so I could have an intelligent conversation. It turned out I thought this series was fantastic. They take Star Trek canon seriously, but have a good time with it. Referencing previous series both live action and animated added to the depth of the world that they create. Highly entertaining. I binge-watched 3 seasons before going to the event (which was good because then I did not end up looking like an idiot).

Pick a lane and stick with it. To my mind this is such a mind-numbingly easy thing to address / track / be consistent with, and yet somehow the ball was dropped, which is sad. Crossing my fingers the Season 5 set will not suffer the same fate.

    Diese Serie schafft es auf erfrischende, humorvolle und zugleich respektvolle Weise, das Star Trek-Universum neu zu interpretieren, ohne dabei den Charme der klassischen Serien zu verlieren. Gerade für langjährige Fans ist Staffel 3 wieder voller liebevoller Anspielungen, Referenzen und kleiner Details, die einem oft ein Schmunzeln (oder auch lautes Lachen) entlocken.

    Die Charaktere wachsen einem immer mehr ans Herz, und obwohl alles leichtfüßig und humorvoll erzählt ist, gibt es auch tolle Momente mit Tiefe, Herz und echtem Star-Trek-Flair. Die Mischung funktioniert einfach wunderbar – eine gelungene Hommage mit einem Augenzwinkern.

    Fazit: Wer Star Trek liebt, wird auch Lower Decks lieben – besonders, wenn man sich auf den Stil einlässt. Staffel 3 zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie viel Herzblut und Fanliebe in dieser Serie steckt. Für Fans ein Muss – für Neugierige ein toller Einstieg.

    I ordered the first 2 seasons from Amazon UK and got regular Blu-ray cases with cardboard slip-clases over the top of them, whereas this one being a US release - they kinda cheaped out. No slip-case. And, the case itself is a bit slimmer, thinner and doesn't feel as sturdy. At least it plays fine on our Aussie Blu-ray players. This show just gets better with each season!

    Für mich ein Highlight die USS Cerritos besucht die Raumstation Deep Space Nine.
    Aber die Anspielungen ziehen sich durch das gesamte Star Trek Universum.

    Die Serie ist witzig und Unterhaltsam und vieles bester die Discovery.
    Leider gibt es auch etwas negatives zu Berichten. Leider hat die Staffel nur 10 Folgen.
