Seriously buy the series on DVDS. I initially didn't like but this Star Trek Lower Decks series slowly got better which I loved the series later on. I'm still not crazy about the pilot episode (regarding the "spider" scene) but I love the series and wished they kept the series going. It's Star Trek comedy in its finest and a bummer that Paramount discontinued the series. Buy the DVDs while you still can because Walmart and other stores are discontinuing selling the physical DVDs for streaming formats. The series had lots of space shenanigans and star trek guest stars. If you are a star trek Fan, you are seriously missing out on the star trek jokes they sneak in.

I love this Star Trek show and would take 100 seasons of it! It never gets old and there is so much more that can be done with it. The spinoffs of this show would be amazing, so let go! This is truly a show, no - a gift, for the fans of Star Trek.

Hysterical Star Trek series, though short, anyone who's watched any of the Star Treks will love it!

“Star Trek: Lower Decks – Season Four” continues the adventures of the USS Cerritos and its junior officers. The season begins with an episode honoring “Star Trek: Voyager” with a reference to one of its most controversial episodes: “Tuvix.” Further episodes introduce new – and adorable – threats such as Moopsy, an examination of Orion culture, a look at Betazoid culture and how it affects those around them, a “Deep Space Nine” reunion for Grand Nagus Rom (Max Grodenchik) and First Clerk Leeta (Chase Masterson), a bottle episode with a clip-show format, and the return of Nick Locarno (Robert Duncan McNeill), who last appeared in “The Next Generation” episode “The First Duty,” leading to some fun references to the fact that McNeill later played a similar character in the form of Tom Paris on “Star Trek: Voyager.”

The series’ promotional artwork references “Star Tre IV: The Voyage Home,” but the stories draw heavily upon the fourth live-action “Star Trek” series, “Voyager.” The main cast, Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), D’Vana Tendi (Noël Wells), Sam Rutherford (Eugene Cordero), and T’Aana (Gillian Vigman) all continue to grow, adapting to their new roles as lieutenants junior grade and the added responsibility that comes with that despite still being among the lower-ranking crew. Bonus features on this Blu-ray set include “Old Friends” – about returning characters from “The Next Generation,” “Deep Space Nine,” and “Voyager”; “Lower Decktionary: Setting Up Season 4” – about the impact of promoting the main characters at the season’s premier rather than its end; and audio commentaries. This set is ideal for those who prefer to collect physical media and would be good to take to conventions for signing.

The Cerritos investigates as something is targeting and destroying ships throughout the Quadrant including ships from the Klingon and Romulan Empires. The animated comedy series gets better as it goes picking up where season 3 left off and the regulars getting promotions including a reluctant Mariner. A lot of fun spoofing and referencing classic Trek shows with guest appearances from Rom and Leeta from Deep Space Nine and a finale setting up the 5th and final season.

You can’t go wrong with lower decks, it’s the best Star Trek show ever but also one of the best animated shows ever. It’s just a damn shame that they cancelled the show after season 5 even though ratings were extremely good and the show was extremely popular. I don’t know what the creator was thinking? He should have just left the spot to someone else to create more seasons! It’s not fair to all of those who really love the show. Anyway if you are a fan of adult/comedy animation then I highly recommend this show and season to you. Happy watching everyone!!
