About the author

New York Times bestselling author John Jackson Miller has spent a lifetime immersed in the worlds of fantasy and science fiction. He's best known for his Star Wars and Star Trek work, including Star Wars: Kenobi, his Scribe Award winning novel from Del Rey; Star Wars: A New Dawn; the Star Trek: Prey trilogy, and Star Trek: Discovery - The Enterprise War.
He's also written comics included the long-running Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic comics series, as well as comics for Battlestar Galactica, Halo, Lion King, Mass Effect, Iron Man, Indiana Jones, and The Simpsons. Davon abgesehen greift die Haupthandlung eine TNG Folge auf und gibt dem dortigen Konzept eine interessante Wendung. Eine spannende Geschichte, deren Auflösung sehr clever war. Es ist eine sehr gute Star Trek Geschichte, aber enthält ein bisschen wenig TNG.
Grundsätzlich zu empfehlen, außer man hat was gegen die nicht-TNG Akteure im Buch.
Ich habe bisher fast alle TNG, Titan, Voyager, etc. Romane gelesen. Und natürlich gibt es gute und weniger gute, aber dieser hier ist eine Katastrophe...
Die Story an sich, wäre ja vlt gar nicht schlecht, aber der Autor sollte besser keine Star Trek Romane mehr schreiben. Alles einfach nur erzählt. Völlig oberflächlich, ohne Details. Die Story plätschert so vor sich hin ohne Spannung oder Logik.
Der ganze Schreibstil passt einfach nicht.
