My step-dad has the Tie Fighter one, which looks cool and sounds just as good as this one, but I lowkey hate him so I had to one-up him and get the Millenium Falcon one for myself since that's what he originally wanted.
It's a bit smaller than I expected, but it's still a good size and it has some weight to it. The blue light looks very cool in my room at night, too. All of my friends were pretty impressed when I unboxed it, even the non star wars fans! The sound quality is really good, but I could never get my music as loud as the Star Wars theme plays.
Overall, it's a great product and I highly recommend it.
+ music comes from the big speaker at bottom of falcon. Despite this, the sound for the most part is good and loud.
+ speaking of sound, I mainly buy low/midrange Android devices and the sound quality with this falcon is all over the map. It really depends on what you pair this with. For ex: an old LG phone i paired sounded good and loud at 1! (I have to start at zero, then go up 1 on my phones volume and it sounds LOUD). A couple of tablets I paired it with I have to go mid-way on the volume to almost reach the same level as the LG. Bass is not great, but you can feel it when you hold the Falcon.
+ the aux/off/bluetooth switch feels a little cheap, like it might break or get stuck with extensive use. the falcon comes with one usb cable that has a micro charger and aux line attached to it. also, there is a red indicator light on it next to the speakerphone/bluetooth button in the middle of the Falcon.
+ the Falcon has a battle-tested look to it(dirty), and is about 8" length, 6" wide. It's tilted up so I didn't bother to measure height. Pic is included with common household products for scale.
+ if you turn it upside down, you can see one screw that holds the Falcon to the clear base. I'm tempted to see if I can unscrew it and not mess up the Falcon in any way. but even with the stand, it is really light in case you ever want to "fly" it around the house....not that I have of course.
+ overall, sound is loud, quality sounds good. is it worth the the $50 retail? I don't know, that's up to you to decide( I bought it on sale for less than $40 locally). Honestly, i thought this was going to be a $20 speaker with a $30 star wars license. But it does sound good to me and looks great on my shelf. If only that blue light on the falcon moved to the music though...(cause it don't).
