I remember years ago that they made a comic book mini series on the OTHER multiplatform Star Wars project, Shadow of the Empire. That book had the main story, along with Boba Fett's perspective, on how he had to fight off other bounty hunters on his way to Tatooine to deliver Han Solo (in carbonite) to Jabba. That was a very entertaining read.
I also read The Force Unleashed part 1, and wasn't a big fan of the artwork, but it did have basic storyline featured in the Novel and the Game. Now, I've read the novel for Force Unleashed 2, which had some elements not featured in the game, such as Captain Ackbar's story on the planet Dac, Bail Organa's appearance, and Wedge Antilles' cameo, amongst other things.
The Force Unleashed 2 graphic novel tells a whole different story perspective through the eyes of Boba Fett. We see him with a love interest, without his helmet, and we see how sensitive he can be. What we don't see are his appearances in the game/novel, we don't have the main storyline featured, and some discrepancies such as Fett's meeting with the Gorog, who was laying at the bottom of the arena. In the game/novel, the Arena was destroyed, but for some reason its still intact in the TFU2 comic. AND, the Gorog is still alive!
The artwork is nice, HUGE improvement to the TFU1 comic, but the storyline is lacking the main TFU2 tale, and the comic even gives it a twist at the end with a group of clones Fett encounters.
I enjoyed the novel, thought the comic was ok, but overall this "SEQUEL" in my opinion was all about making money since it lacks the orginality of the original, and bringing back a great character, a central character, who died fighting for what he believed in, died for the Rebellion, by cloning? Come on, now!

I bought the Star Wars the force Unleashed II book and Graphic Novel, as I am a huge fan of Star Wars, and the Force Unleashed Story. A friend of mine has the first game and is getting the second, so I can see the game being played as a spectator. I am not a video gamer. So the only way I can see the actual game is watching it through various friends and such. Anyway on to the review. I am currently reading the Novel and I am very impressed and Highly recommend the Novel. I can say I skipped ahead to finish the book, as I had to see how it ends. On a side note they will be making a The Force Unleashed III. If they don't then they are leaving us with a terribly huge cliffhanger, that I feel MUST be resolved. So expect the final chapter to be coming out later on. The Graphic Novel is told from a completely different perspective then the book, as the whole story is told from the eyes of Boba-Fett. Yes I understand Boba is in the game and he plays an important part to the story, but I think giving his perspective for the entire story can be confusing, especially to younger readers. The art of the GN is Terrific, very well drawn. However if you only read this GN, then you are NOT getting the whole story. As a suppliment to the book (or game)it really is very good. If you are just going to read the GN, then you will be doing yourself a Tremendous injustice. I am not sure if they are putting our a younger reader's version of the Novel, However if they do, then I suggest to any younger reader just reading the comic GN to get the younger reader's story of the book. I also recommend to any adult reader, to get the actual Novel, as I feel, without the Novel you are missing so much story.

The graphic novel for the first TFU game was advertised as being based on the game but following different threads and being its own story. It didn't really deliver on that promise, but the second one does, with mixed results. The plot follows Boba Fett, along with Xasha, a new character, as they trail Starkiller through the events of TFU2.
I was confused, however, when the comic began outright contradicting the events of the game. Mild spoilers follow. A significant portion of the story involves Boba Fett and Xasha investigating the corpse of the Gorog, the giant monster you fight on Cato Neimoidia in the game, even though events within the game make that basically impossible. Spoilers end here.
I did like the artwork, but overall, this doesn't work too well either as a standalone story or as a supplement to the larger story.

I like Star Wars books some people don't like. I read the first book, first novel. This one follows that book really well. This comic is taken from the second novel. The novel "Force Unleashed" I and II are based on a video game about Darth Vader's secret apprentice. His apprentice is tasked with the hidden Jedi who survived order 66, finding them and getting rid of them. Set during the time of the Empire right before the rebellion started. both novels were made into comic books.

Thought it was a strategy guide, but it wasn't, but I'm okay with it because it was a graphic novel! Thanks!

This comic really provides a lot of additional details to the game - and to clarify, that is NOT a criticism. The story is from Boba Fett's point of view and because of that, we get more information that accompanies what we experienced when we play the game. Its an excellent accompaniment.

Way too short. Only 88 pages. The first force unleashed graphic novel/comic was 128 pages. So this one is 40 pages shorter! IT makes a huge difference because it feels like it just suddenly ends in the middle. It has some nice art work I guess. But other than that the story, action, dialogue is quite poor. The first one is better

I original thought it would simply be a retelling of the video game like the last comic but instead they surprized me with the focus of the story being on Boba Fett, one of my favorite characters. It was cool seeing the story played out through his eyes and not Starkiller's and I liked how they showed that there was more to him then just a ruthless, unemotional bounty hunter, that he was still human under all that armor. And when Boba Fett went up against Jango Fett, fan girl's dream come true! This is definitely going into my favorites pile.

Good action, solid story and wonderful drawings... Nice one. Having Jango as the main character is a great idea
