Product Description

A galaxy-spanning adventure awaits in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new 3rd person action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment. This narratively-driven single player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities, and master the art of the iconic lightsaber - all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors. While mastering your abilities, players will engage in cinematically-charged lightsaber and Force combat designed to deliver the kind of intense Star Wars lightsaber battles as seen in the films. Players will need to approach enemies strategically, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your Jedi training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path.

Star Wars fans will recognize iconic locations, weapons, gear, and enemies while also meeting a roster of fresh characters, locations, creatures, droids and adversaries new to Star Wars. As part of this authentic Star Wars story, fans will delve into a galaxy recently seized by the Empire. As a Jedi hero-turned-fugitive, players will need to fight for survival while exploring the mysteries of a long-extinct civilization all in an effort to rebuild the remnants of the Jedi Order as the Empire seeks to erase the Jedi completely.

It is an ok game seems to be a good story so far controls could be better, My issue is the same as everyone elsewhere is the pre-order content!! Half of it is missing and retailers seem to not know about it which is odd and some customers seem to think that it was only for the digital art book a behind the scenes making-of video and 2 crimson skins, light saber crystal, hilts, gold skins are all missing.

    Amazing gameplay. I’ve played all of the Star Wars games besides Battlefront. On original Xbox as well as Xbox one and KOTOR on PC. I will tell you I did not like Force Unleashed at all and was skeptical this would be close to FU. However, this game has a Star Wars, Zelda and Darksiders fell all rolled into one. I finished the game in 4 days as it is so addictive you don’t want to stop playing. This game may be a little difficult for younger kids with the some of the puzzle type parts of the game, but the gameplay on story mode should not be difficult to beat. I played story mode and it felt just as it should being a Jedi slaying storm troopers. I am really impressed and hoping there is a DLC or a sequel. The only problem is I did not get my preorder bonus from amazon until after I had already completed the game.

    I preordered this game in April and was expecting to get what I had paid for. However when I received the game, I found that the content I received was as if I had purchased the Deluxe Edition only. I know it's a minor inconvenience, but I spent the last few months building up my excitement to only be let down.

    The game is great though. I just wish I had the content I paid for.

    EDIT: I contacted Amazon customer service and they were very helpful. I talked to the representative about my issue with the pre-order bonus and within a few hours I received an email containing the code for the bonus content. I added the last two stars for the great customer service and the bonus content.

    UPDATE: I initially gave this game a 2 Star review because of the missing preorder code. The game itself I love! Amazon within a week finally figured out the issue and sent out the preorder code. I did have to contact them first to get it even though I had already purchased it.

    First, the game is awesome but I’m pretty annoyed that I can’t get access to my preorder content so the rating was for buying it through Amazon. I’ve done preorders with amazon before and gotten the content with no issue. I don’t know what the problem is this time.

    I wanted to like this game, and I did for the most part. The game has a great story, and the game made great use of blending the clone wars era into the New Hope era. For me, the game started to fall flat based on the mechanics of the fighting. I ended up thinking of the game much more like a Tell Tale game with additional effort put into playable action. I found the fighting and controls to be frustrating, and I was on the easiest difficulty level. When being attacked, you could hit your attacker, and they would keep going, though if you were in the middle of a chain attack and got hit, it would stop your attack right in the middle.
    Also if you were trying to attack, and realized that you needed to parry, well too late. You would just stand there and get beat on. What kind of Jedi isn't even trained enough to pull an attack back in an attempt to parry? I found that so frustrating and by the end of the game I wanted to yell at the stupid battles.
    I also thought many of the graphics were odd, especially for character faces and the wookies. Once in awhile Ill play an older game and see the rendering of the character faces and almost laugh at how bad things used to look. In many cutscenes I had the feeling that I was playing an older game that tried very hard to have realistic graphics, but just failed. Again, the game had a great story, but in the end it felt like a rushed money grab game. I was so tired of the gameplay that at the end of the story line I had no desire to continue playing to go back and grab the chests that I missed throughout the main play through.

    I tried not to read too much about the reviews about the game from the Beta testers, because I knew from the stills that this was not going to be the same type of Star Wars game.

    And I was not disappointed. Between the easy beginning tutorials and in-game secrets that are fun to find, the whole story has been amazing to watch and learn while experiencing the Star Wars universe from the eyes of a Padawan who has to learn what the Force is and balance how the universe works around it.

    This is easily one of the best Jedi games out there. The storytelling is great and the character development is awesome as well. My one small issue is the use of the collectibles. They seem to have one purpose and after awhile doesn't exactly motivate me to find all the collectibles. But this game as a whole is one of the best Jedi games ever, probably on par with KOTOR in my book! Get it!
