I guess if their only goal was to beat people over the head with Disney's "values" then they did their job. If they were trying to make a good film, an interesting film, or another classic Star Wars film, they failed. Hard.
The really sad thing is, it is possible to do both. They didn't.
The Force Awakens is a mediocre film, that is made to look like a masterpiece, in comparison to The Last Jedi.
Disney's version of the Star Wars universe is 100% Fantasy. (100% Disbelief)
The people deciding what the Star Wars universe is now have no idea what the Star Wars universe was. Their shallow minds that only see skin color and gender cannot comprehend the depth of appeal of the original Star Wars universe. They wouldn't understand why they should be ashamed of what they've done to this global mind space.
Disney has murdered this beloved franchise.
Both episode VII and VIII are just reused plots ripped off from a new hope and empire respectively, with a force fed feel good political agenda buried underneath.
I’ve been a fan of Star Wars since 1977 and was so disappointed in this newest installment of the franchise. Poorly written, with beloved characters acting out of character, a freaky Yoda force-ghost, Princess Leia spending much of the movie in a coma (after flying a la Mary Poppins through space), annoying and unlikable new characters...thanks for ruining Star Wars, Disney. Only redeeming parts were the cute Porgs and seeing Mark Hamill in his iconic role, although Disney changed his chararacter and Luke deserved a much better storyline than he got here. Very disappointing.
