So far I've purchased all of the Black Series 6" and this is the only one that I don't love. Seriously, she looks like a rugby player or linebacker. It's the way the head/neck is set into her shoulders, all hunched over. Even my wife remarked upon seeing it that something looked weird with her (and that IS saying something). It's not a bad figure, just doesn't live up to the quality of the other figures in the series (in my opinion only).

This is arguably the most iconic costume in film history. To me, I don't get all kinds of nerdy when seeing this. I wasn't going through puberty when this film came out (I was a year off from being born when this hit the theaters in '83, in point of fact), so I don't have some weird fascination with Princess Leia in her golden Slave bikini. Though I can understand why that became such a pop culture phenomenon and so iconic. Carrie Fisher was hot, she was fit and she looked great in the costume. Hasbro did justice to this iconic costume and Carrie Fisher in her prime.

Some people may take issue with all of the articulation points so visible on the legs of the figure. That may have bothered me a few years back as well, but after seeing how Mattel deals with the same problem (the paint color doesn't match from one part of the leg to another i.e. Mattel's Silk Spectre Watchmen figure or their Robin figure from their 1966 Batman line, both with two tone legs... ugh), I don't take much issue here. The cloth used for the loin cloth of the costume is pretty standard, I can't praise nor complain about it really, real cloth beats a hard plastic mold I suppose. Slave Leia also comes with a chain around her neck after she used it to choke out Jabba (if only she had the capability to force choke people like her daddy did) and was then cut free via R2's handy Swiss Army like endless supply of utensils. Leia doesn't come with Jabba's Sail Barge deck cannon for an accessory but that's ok, she comes with some other goodies, two different staffs, one with a blade and one without (which usually accustoms the Leia in Boushh Disguise figures).

I think Carrie Fisher is even harder to accurately sculpt than Harrison Ford.

If you've seen this figure in person, you'll know that you don't want to bother with this one. The face is 10x worse than what the pictures show. As the overly generous 3 star reviewer says, it's the one figure that is unlovable because it captures none of the facial features of Princess Leia. As a star wars fan, I was truly offended by this action figure. Whoever gave their okay to start production on this figure should be fired.

Her posture and facial expression just kill it...especially displayed in the box. I can't look at it without thinking she just noticed that her dog s*** on the floor and she just can't f'ing believe it.

This figure is so bad, you have to love it. Leia looks like she's been drugged - her face feature the worst paint applications/sculpting of the entire 6" Black Series line. Some folks might look at this as a bad thing, but I kind of like it. Everything else on this figure is phenomenal. I love the accessories for Leia. Also, if you look at her head from the side, instead of straight on, the sculpting and paint applications make sense.

Awesome price considering this warms the pegs at every store that stocks them and is much higher on the shelf. But the face on this figure. Not at all disappointed with my purchase, disappointment lies with Hasbro for the crappy work.

I thought this series was supposed to be the ultimate editions of these characters ? Han ? Check ! Luke ? Check ! R2 ? Check ? 3PO ? Check ! Even Darth Maul and the Storm Trooper are a check !! Leia looks like a blow up doll. What is she so surprised about ? This figure is terrble, even completionists would find it difficult to buy, she would ruin the look of your collection. Wait for the inevitable remake that will be released once the episode 7 figures come out.
