Drip coffee is a convenient way to make great coffee. With the right grind and pure water, you can brew a fantastic cup in a coffee brewer.	Brewing with a coffee press retains the precious natural oils otherwise absorbed by paper filters, extracting the coffee’s full flavor while giving it a rich consistency.	Pour-over is a beautifully simple and accessible way to brew a single cup of coffee with a clean, fully developed flavor and body. I was highly critical of this product, having been an owner of a few coffee shops in the past and initially I was very unhappy with the espresso that these beans produced, no crema and not very good. Because I have experience in coffee I do know to try a few things and this is what worked for me, extremely fine grind which for my grinder it usually plugs the filter basket common to espresso machines. Today, it made the perfect cup of espresso, so I'm two stars.... I returned to revise my scathing review. If you are not happy with the beans you might try adjusting the grind.

This is the first time I have purchased Starbucks Coffee Beans through Amazon. I thought it was great to find a nice price and easy way to purchase my coffee. Unfortunately, upon grinding/brewing, I found the taste to be unrecognizable -- and bad tasting. I then brewed another pot and found same. Keep in mind, I love Starbuck's dark-roasted Caffe Verona and have for over 15 years. So, I know what it should taste like. I contacted Amazon's Customer Service Rep - via phone - so that they could ensure their related source of the coffee is notified.

I’ve been drinking this coffee for years. This does not taste right. I’m not buying this any more from Amazon. I even ordered this from Walmart and it was even worse. I think I’ll just stick to Starbucks store, or the supermarket where you know you’re getting fresh real Starbucks.

I'm not sure how old these beans were but they were AWFUL for making espresso. They came out of the bag shiny and covered with that oily looking residue old coffee beans have. Smell out of the bag smelled like coffer, so unremarkable, but brewed, or pulled shots tasted like trash, which is where these beans went - into the trash.

I was astonished at the low flavor and aroma profile of this purchase. I have consumed Starbucks coffee for many years and found it satisfactory. I gravitated to Peets French Roast, which became my preferred brand of coffee. Peets French Roast was out of stock briefly on Amazon, and this Starbucks Expresso Roast was offered at a bargain price. You get what you pay for for sure. This coffee had virtually no flavor or aroma at all. I might as well have been drinking hot water with a bit of coffee aftertaste. The lack of aroma was palpable. I don't know whether the coffee was stale, or this was just a bad batch. It is also the case that I was not using it in an espresso machine, but rather as pour-over brewed coffee. Sigh. I will now go back to Peets French Roast, of which I have never been disappointed. I now don't know what to do with two large packages of really undrinkable coffee.

Perfect! BUT why consume withing a Week?

Love it. The only thing being confusing me is that says to consume “within a week” and I think they should explain that better because a bag of whole beans give you TONS of coffee! I think I have coffee for months! Is only my husband and I and we do coffee once a day and sometimes we skip a day. So how I will preserve the coffee if they say not to out in the freezer because lost the moisture? I gave the 5 stars but wanted to give 4 for the lack of explanation and kinda absurd how this works. I understand that coffee is not fresh forever, but they don’t explain better what to do to preserve the coffee for longer then a week..? Seriously, its sounds (when you read on the bag) that the coffee will not be good after that week, so I should throw it out? It’s just a lik frustrating...
