David V Barrett, AMAZON.CO.UK REVIEW But this is only the beginning of their book. The authors summon large amounts of evidence to argue that behind such modern authors on the pyramids and Mars there might lie a hidden agenda, involving channelled messages from the Ennead, the nine major gods of Egypt; a wide range of parapsychologists and scientists, including some from NASA; the defence and intelligence communities; and even some politicians. The nine gods may or may not be real, they say, and channelling might simply come from the subconscious, though they accept phenomena such as Remote Viewing as entirely real. * Whether their worrying conclusions are valid or whether they have simply come up with another conspiracy theory, Picknett and Prince's book is not only controversial but thought-provoking too.' * Over the last few years there has been an explosion of books rewriting archaeology, history and religion. Despite Lynn and Clive's somewhat confused stance on the validity of the mystical encounters in the book, it manages to provide a steady depth of names, dates, events, and references to some big names in the Psychological operations community as well as Occultists both past tense and modern, working towards a strange confluence of ideologies surrounding one basic premise, that the aliens are coming back, and humanity better be prepared for their return.
Whether or not you believe in extraterrestrial life coming home to roost, the undeniable associations woven throughout the fabric of this text make it an interesting read for someone relatively new to the world of ancient astronaut phenomenon. Something strange is going on within belief systems indeed, and it's been a long time in the making.
