Well made, sturdy, precise, small tool for every handyman's tool-box. Small size and range of lift is not a limitation when you use roughly sized wood block/frame to adopt it in your project location. Actually the small size is a big advantage when well controlled jacking in odd / difficult /congested locations. I used these jacks in fixing partly detached under-mount st-steel kitchen sink under complicated granite counter top over a busy/cluttered cabinet (supply and drain pipes, etc etc). Using a rough/custom frame (2x4 studs) and two of these "Little Giant" jacks I was able to lower the sink by about 1/2-in, hold it in place while cleaning the old glue, apply new glue, raise the sink back, mount new glued-mounting clips. Without Little-Giant it would have been impossible to do this fix. Serrated upper and lower contact surfaces, pivoting upper end, fine machined threads, two sets of holes (at 90-deg) for removable handle make this a must have quality tool.

I'm biased. I already love Starrett. Well machined, smooth operation. If it fits your application you won't be disappointed. Good to see an American company making quality products hanging in there.

This is a nifty little tool that can lift things maybe an inch. Admittedly, it's not going to be needed often, but it is useful as a powerful extra hand to precisely support and position something you're working on, maybe to hold pressure. The finish and workmanship are excellent

Had a valuable guitar that was after 50 years collapsing in on itself. Put in 2 new supports and over a months time used the jack to push the neck back into position. Left the jack in lace to hold it and does not seem to interfere with the sound. Saved the great sounding 12 string guitar.

I have a Queen-size metal frame bed that came without a support for the side rails, which began to collapse. I purchased this and the 190C Extension Base to jack up the area of collapse. It does exactly what it is advertised to do, although I underestimated the space I needed and have had to wedge a block of wood underneath it. Anything above 4" I recommend the next larger size (F190A), despite the cost.

Well made. Nice and easy to setup. Can't say as much for most of the other Starrett stuff I buy at times nowadays. I am sure some of it is made in China.
