Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Aloha All ~A note on 12/22/17 about my new book, "Stars in Our Eyes."There's an error on the title page of the EBOOK (not the paperback). My last name is badly misspelled. Guess some mischievous bot or elf got in there during submission of the files. The issue is being corrected but will take up to 3 days from today. I apologize for the snafu! No idea how it came about, but being fixed!!Blessed holidays to you and yours.WMR --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

About the Author

W. M. Raebeck lives in Hawaii where she adores turquoise waters, tradewinds, birdsong, her exotic garden, and little White Boy. Retrieving geckos from his jowls is the worst part of her day (aside from seriously questioning everything about today's America).Her books (four to date) are true-life accounts, from her new short story collection about art, Hollywood, and spirits (Dec. 2017), to the misadventures of a sugar-freak hippie chick, to trekking through the Costa Rican jungle, to teaching yoga in Santa Monica ("Some Swamis are Fat," published originally under pen-name Ava Greene). The author's candor is laced with old-soul insight, eclectic love, and admirable resilience. She doesn't hold back in recounting her tales.In her personal life, yoga and natural health (sugar notwithstanding) are institutions. Animal rights and environmental activism are also lifelong commitments. "We can all do better and consume less."Visit "WendyRaebeck.com" for photos, excerpts, audio, blog posts, author appearances, and to sign up for news of future books. --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

#1 NEW RELEASE! "NICARAGUA STORY — BACK ROADS OF THE CONTRA WAR."

A courageous country. Compelling history. Sad truth and tremendous hope.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

W. M. Raebeck's trademarks are quirky candor, spiritual stretching, and frequent exits from the comfort zone.

Her true-life escapist literature includes:

'I Did Inhale' — the misadventures of a sugar-freak hippie chick;

'Stars in Our Eyes' — stories of art, Hollywood, love and ambition;

'Expedition Costa Rica' — an extreme trek through the rainforest;

'Some Swamis are Fat' * — a California yoga teacher's inadvertent quest;

'Silence of Islands" — a poetry collection spanning 50 years.

And now……'Nicaragua Story—Back Roads of the Contra War' — a hard look at a people's war.

Wendy Raebeck lives in Hawaii, where gratitude, writing, yoga, long walks, swimming, and now TENNIS are one big mix. In previous lifetimes she was a film and television actress, freelance journalist, yoga instructor, massage therapist, photographer, model, and always a friend to animals and the environment.

Her books are available in print and ebook everywhere books are sold or loaned. Watch for audio editions, narrated by the author, coming in 2023.

* 'Some Swamis are Fat' is under the pen-name Ava Greene.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun to read
By M. K. Bowers on October 1, 2022
Stars in Our Eyes was gripping and humorous. A well crafted read, never a dull moment. Nowadays with such short attentions spans, shrot stories make perfect reading especially for the present generation. I thought the Brian Jones story was a great way to start the book. I recently met the author at a book signing in Hawaii, and I'm so pleased to be aware of her books.
