Start Winning With Money
was written as a financial guide that I wish I would have been handed between the ages of 15-21. Most parents did not come from a wealthy family and probably taught their children all the things that made them successful in life. Unfortunately, some of the things that we are teaching our children is wrong. Having a book like Start Winning With Money
would have saved me from making a lot of money mistakes in my early adult years. The book is really a great financial starting guide that explains a lot of the lies that we are taught about money from an early age.
After digging into the personal finance genre, I realized that no one had really tackled this part of the market very well. There were plenty of books telling you how to budget. There were plenty of books on the "frugal" lifestyle. There were even a bunch of books on wealth management and what to do with your money once you had ACTUALLY had some to work with.
No one had tried to approach money management from the standpoint of how do I do all these things together? This is how the concept of Start Winning With Money came together. I started writing from the approach of sitting down with my teenage children. What were all the things that I SHOULD have known prior to buying my first car? What were all the things that I SHOULD have known about owning a house? What were all the things that I SHOULD have known about student loans and debt?
Start Winning With Money is really a blueprint on all the things that we are taught about money, but were never really explained to us in detail. It is not the end-all, be-all, financial guide. The book is a guide that the average person can use to help navigate the financial choices you make in the real world. I attempted to keep the book easy to read and easy to reference. There are a ton of links built in with great information. Now don't just go through life blindly, Start Winning With Money!
