. Try telling them that per square yard it will cost $150 a week to mow their lawn.you will not hear from them again. What you have to do is figure how long it will take to mow using a rider then figure how long it will take to trim with push mower and weed whacker. Then figure your gas plus time to mow and you have a $40-$45 per week. I made money this way so do not follow the book in everything. Good book for starting up in Lawncare. Also make sure that you have or buy commercial equipment like Exmark zero turns, riders or walk behind mowers. I thought I could use my Craftsman and MTD riding tractors and a Lawn Boy walk behind mower. Things were constantly breaking and my craftsman went first. So make sure you get the right equipment to start with. This can be a rewarding job if all things come together. Treat your customers good. Have fun with Lawncare.
