I've made MANY gallons of good kit wine with this kit and also a couple batches of home-stuff. One Peach Banana and one Dandelion. If you read up a little on the basics of wine making you will get more out of using it but a complete novice can have good results with this! Good quality and I really like the "better bottle" so called because it's PTFE instead of glass. The advantage of this is that it's light and very hard to break. A big 6 gallon glass carboy is just the opposite - heavy and easily broken. Enjoy!

So far so good. The air lock works as it is fermenting. All material is in the box except for the shut-off clamp as stated in the description. When I’m ready to siphon the wine how can I shut the flow off? This is the only reason I’m giving it a 3 for the review.

Cheaply made , lightly touched the airlock that kept coming out because it was impossible to stick into the grommet and guess what the grommet went right into the bucket and now my wine is susceptible to oxidation until replaced . Which I can’t return the kit since there’s 6 gallons of wine fermenting in the bucket and no way to contact for a quick cheap replacement piece .
