I found this book to be very frustrating; I personally feel that it delayed my ability to successfully start-up a company because it was unnecessarily complicated. It seems that the author has written a book that generally describes starting a company, and then they have added subsections related to the individual states. At times, I carefully read a passage and made notes, but then the author later wrote that the reader could disregard that text because of a certain revision or update. Frankly, it is really just much easier to go to the state's small business website and read their instructions--it is only a few dozen pages. After I did that, I realized I had been an idiot wasting my time trying to plow through this book. The websites have all sorts of useful links, they are very concise and too the point, unlike this book. The NOLA website is also quite concise. If the author significantly pared down this book to maybe 50 pages, it could be useful. Of note, I read the 2015 version of this book, but I see that is no longer available so I am writing this review for the 2016 version.
