This was by far the bulkiest knife I've ever carried. It takes up most of the room in my pants pocket when clipped to the pocket rim. It's also somewhat heavy. If all you want is a basic cutting tool, there are thinner, lighter, and simpler knives to buy.
The construction seems top-notch. I've carried this knife for six months and all the springs, locks, and blades are tight, and the blade is still sharp.
I have used the cutter on clothing and seatbelts, and it has worked as expected on both. I've used the spring-loaded window punch twice, and it worked flawlessly, even on a vehicle window one of my coworkers had tried and failed to open with an aluminum flashlight. You can practice using the spring-loaded window punch on a tree to get a feel for how hard you have push the punch into the surface.
The flashlight is not very bright, and is comparable to a dim key-chain-type LED. Do not expect to use this light as your only illumination for tactical or rescue operations. It is not bright enough for thorough illumination, and is the wrong color to maintain night vision. However, if you are not under stress and in the dark, this light is better than nothing. It is also sufficient for use as a pen-light to check pupils. The battery life seems good, as I have not replaced the watch-type battery this knife uses in the six months since I've bought it (albeit with rare use).
After about an hour practicing with this knife, you should have no problem using its features under stress. It will get the user in and out of vehicles, and will remove clothing from injured people as quickly as trauma shears. For the price, I've seen no better product.

The blades are extremely sharp right-out of the package and they are both made of 440C stainless steel. The knife and blades are treated with what looks to be military quality black anodize. Both blades are locking blades which I like and I would not carry a knife that is not a locking blade knife. One blade is a 3.3 inch long straight edge and serrated blade and the other blade is a curved edge for cutting seatbelts in an emergency. Both blades have thumb posts for easy opening and closing of the blades. You will have to release the locking mechanism to close either blade. I show this in my video.
The gripping surface of the knife is coated in a textured hard rubberized surface to make sure that you can securely hold the knife in any situation. The area where your fingers grasp the knife is recessed for your fingers to lie in and it provides a superior gripping surface and area to make sure that your hand does not slide even if they are wet. I show this gripping area in my video.
The side of the knife has a metal belt clip on it if you prefer to wear the knife that way but it also comes with a semi hard shell nylon belt sheath/holster.Read more ›
