STATE OF SHOCK (SOS) by Jerry Mazza is the first book by an American poet to deal solely with 9/11 and the resulting Iraq and Afghanistan wars and their effect on the American psyche. These startling narrative and lyrical poems are an S O S to all to be aware of the dangers we presently face. With poems of bold imagery and rhythmic intensity, poet and journalist Mazza confronts the dangers head-on. About the Author

Jerry Mazza received his Bachelor's and Masters Degrees at Brooklyn College in English Literature, focusing on modern American poetry. His Masters' thesis was a book of his own poems. Subsequent poems have also been published in various literary magazines: Rattle, Atlanta Review, Brooklyn Review, Voices in Italian Americana, Prairie Schooner, Poetry New York, Hudson Valley Literary Review, to mention a few, and online at VoicesInWartime.org. The VIW work inspired his new collection, State Of Shock (SOS). After achieving success as an advertising writer and creative director, Mazza turned his energy and interest to Internet journalism. He has subsequently written hundreds of articles on politics and government for onlinejournal.com where he is an Associate Editor. His articles have been republished all over the Internet. Mazza is a life-long resident of New York City and lives several miles upstream of Ground Zero. He is married and has three adult children.

Mazza's State of Shock rooted in reality, alas!

Jerry Mazza is a columnist who tells it like it is. He has authored courageous articles about 9/11 and JFK, including "Farid's photo is a fake and so is he" and "The 'magic bullet' and a coup d'etat in America", which are subjects most journalists will not touch. His most recent piece, "US and Israel sign massive arms deal", was so astute that I interviewed Jerry for a 10-minute YouTube feature and turned it into a blog at my site, [...]
, where I have other blogs and interviews of Jerry. He is doing fine work of the kind most reporters long since abandoned--bona fide investigative journalism.

. Sometimes readers are unable to appreciate his work because they are behind the curve in their knowledge of the state of technology. I am sorry to report that Jerry's conjecture about the use of HAARP to bring about the Haitian earthquake is a possibility that is all too real. The logic of the situation is to create a disaster so American interests can move in under the guise of humanitarian aid in order to exploit them for economic, political, and military ends.

The rationale for "disaster capitalism" has been spelled out by Naomi Klein in THE SHOCK DOCTRINE (2007), a book that informed Americans should not miss. An excellent introduction to the use of HAARP for this cruel purpose may also be found on YouTube in the six-minute HAARP PEAK OIL EARTHQUAKES [...]
. It's author, Brooks Agnew, explains how he was able to search for and locate oil deposits using 30 watts of energy. HAARP, by contrast, transmits a billion. The effects of this focused energy can effortlessly bring about the occurrence of earthquakes and a wide range of devastating effects.

Indeed, growing numbers are now occurring with their point of origin at 10 km (or 6.21 miles). Think about it. That these quakes are caused by massive disruptions at precisely the same depth is extraordinary. Statisticians would explain that these repeated occurrences cannot be random but almost certainly have to be induced by human intervention. What Jerry has to convey in his splendid poems is not only consistent with disaster capitalism but reflects the decadent state of high-tech American colonialism. When you understand what Jerry is telling us, the impact is so grim and affecting that sentient creatures will inevitably be left in a certifiable state of shock.

The Poems May Be Good - But Look at the Author

The author has a blog (The Online Journal) where he has falsely claimed that the University of Alaska High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project (HAARP) is a weapon that caused the Haitian earthquake. You should understand this when you consider buying these poems.

Mazza claims to be considerably educated, but that education seems to have gone for nought if he can seriously advance such a nutty idea. To get an idea of what HAARP does, go talk to a neighbor who has large antennas on his roof or in his back yard, your local amateur radio operator, popularly called a HAM. He or she will explain how they can talk to an operator half-way around the world. That's what HAARP is about, learning more about what causes that skip.

Can we create earth quakes? Yes, but only at extremely low levels. Scientists stimulated quakes using underground injection of salt water in Colorado. Only two of the thousands that were created were felt. None of them were anywhere near the magnitude of even the major aftershocks of the 7.0 Haitian quake. Google "Richter Scale" and look at the Wikipedia article. There is a very interesting chart about the frequency of various magnitude earthquakes. Note that the frequency of the Magnitude 7.0 is a little less than 20 per year and Magnitude 2.5 or less is 1-8,000/day. All but two of the man-made ones were in this "not felt" 1-8,000/day threshold. That is a substantial difference in magnitude.
