I have a half dozen statistics books, but this is the one I go to for a clear explanation of the topic with excellent examples. The excel and Minitab directions and printouts provided with the examples is a bonus. For me, this is the one Stats book that is indispensable.

Its a good enough text, and I appreciate the drafters attempts to include humor, but it took me less than two chapters to get sick of it. Also, the way exercises are included makes it seem like a chapter is over, then you turn a couple of pages and realize you are wrong.

I didn't pay attention in my stats course and just scraped through, learning nothing. Later on I decided it would be good to know something of statistics, so I went back and found my old Keller textbook (and the CD-ROM) and went to work. The book has been fantastic, explains everything clearly, with HEAPS of examples to work through, and some more thorough explanations of some more difficult concepts are on the CD Appendixes. Acquiring the CD-ROM is very important, I think, because it has all the datasets and other goodies so you can work through everything on computer as well as manually. Also very important is the student manual, which has worked answers to every even numbered question.

The Statistics for Management and Economics book from Keller is just an average stats book. It's slightly less dry than most but the material doesn't jump off the page and hold students interest. It's highly academic and it's application to real world situations, for which is written, is minimal. Where this book does a good job is in explaining how to use excel. You need good stats professors to engage student with this book.

The practical applications and detailed instructions for various devices were indispensable. The only drawback was that it was an earlier edition whose problem sets were not fully concordant with the later edition.

This book was not as it was described. There was no CD-ROM and I am lucky that it did not fall apart. It looked as though someone soaked it in water before shipment. I was pleased with how much I paid for how much it was worth. Terrible experience so far, but at least I got the book.

I only needed this book for my pre-req statistics course, Some of the easier examples were easy to understand, but there are times when certain concepts were not depicted with examples which made it easier to grasp concepts. wish i had a better book for course, maybe my grade wouldve been better. oh well!

I got the book for school which is sold for $150 at school bookstore. But I got it for under $20 and it's like brand new. Even the data disk CD is there, too. Very good quality!
