But that’s not the problem.

**Spoiler Alert**

The book fell into the trope of the guy getting partners, while the woman waits and in this case has one lover over the years. That was annoying.

This book had my emotions all over the place!

First off Andrew was like a bipolar woman on their rag that can't decide what flavor of ice cream he wants! One minute he's nice to Zoe, the next minute he's mean to her. I did however love the parts of him with Olly. And I'm also glad he redeems himself towards the end.

Zoe sometimes got on my nerves because she would justify Andrew's actions and words. But I get that this does happen in real life. Women like this do exist. We always want to read about the strong female protagonist but what this author gave us was someone real. Someone who held on to their first and only love even though he was a bastard to her but they did have their moments.

I'm glad they got their HEA after all the mistakes they both made. We all deserve a second chance. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

The writing was good and the story line had promise but a few things bothered me...
The hot bits were more graphic in their heads than when they actually happened. When it got to the scenes that should have been hot they were glossed over.
He was engaged to her cousin and the rest of the family had nothing to say on this!?!?
He seemed to have a personality transplant and became a totally different person.
Ashley was completely glossed over, she was literally only there so they could bump into each other and then stuffed away to be forgotten.
So all in all too much i didn't like, not for me at all.

I'm a fan of strong FMC's, however Zoe came across as a complete walk over. Yes it all works out in the end but the whole way through I felt like screaming at her that she was being pathetic!

The way Andrew treats her is awful. I didn't really feel like there was any justifiable excuse for any of his behaviour and yet he was forgiven for everything.

It just wasnt my kind of thing but it was OK overall.
