Steadfast Lost, the very best kind!

My Steadfast Love is the second book in the Highland Loves series by Melissa Limoges and once again, she does not disappoint. This author has a gift for weaving real life issues into her storylines. I love that she recognizes and expresses that the characters in her stories are just like real people in that they are a sum of their past experiences and also that they are able to make positive changes in some of their behaviors once they recognize the cause and effect of specific behaviors. The characters are well developed and exhibit the sill of free thinking vs heard mentality. Loyalty and honor are expected, required, and enforced. Liam, Will, Elena, Fraser and many of Liam’s extended family members we met in book 1, have significant roles in book 2, “My Steadfast Love” which makes for a very even flowing story. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Excellent series in my opinion. If you love a good Historical Romance with strong female characters, and well rounded, skilled, loving, protective, intelligent, reliable men to complement those strong female characters, you should really enjoy this series. It’s a very good story without the necessity of any overly explicit sexual scenes

Suddenly finding out that you are not who you think you are, and are then named Laird? Liam doesn't take the news very well, in fact-he imbibes and insults our very brave Heroine, Venora. Nora doesn't like Liam, but decides it will be in her brother's best interest if she works with him, as she can continue to keep a very low profile. Unfortunately, her enemies have found her and her brother. Her only desire was to protect him, but she finds that her desire becomes Liam. The story flows very well and is very fast paced. This one will take a place in my read more than once stack!

What a beautiful and clean romance this was! Liam was such a wonderful hero and I thoroughly enjoyed his pursuit of Nora who was a brave and courageous heroine. It was a nice change to find the hero to be the first to admit his love for his lady and to be the one to fall first to love's allure. The only thing that I would have liked to see was more of a confrontation between Nora, Will and her Uncle as he had been the threat against Nora and her brother Will for years rather then have it wrapped up so easily but I did like how it all came about. I didn't find that reason enough to give the book less than five stars as it was entertaining, kept me interested throughout and I enjoyed it tremendously. I found that Nora's brother Will was full of wisdom and it reflected the wonderful Laird he would become and I hope that Will will have his own story in the near future. Thumbs up for me on this book!

I enjoyed reading this story about the clans Fraser, McGregor and McNabs. Two people , Nora Fraser and Liam McGregor are so different. Liam has no problem with the ladies except for Nora. She keeps to herself and takes care of her brother Will. Liam is attracted to Nora but Nora has a secret . Things start happening, people are hurt and the past catches up to Nora.
I would definitely recommend this book!!

This author is new to me, and guess what I loved her way of writing. This is the second in the series so I will definitely be getting the first one. Liam MacGregor is at his mother and stepfathers wedding, with the rest of his family. He is a warrior but does not like to be the leader, just go with the flow is his matra. Well off course life does not always give us what we want, the man his mother marries Hammish Fraser Laird of the clan Fraser, turns out is his real father. He is then told he will be the new Laird as Hammish is standing down to be with his mother. This author is new to me, and guess what I loved her way of writing. This is the second in the series so I will definitely be getting the first one. Liam MacGregor is at his mother and stepfathers wedding, with the rest of his family. Well off course life does not always give us what we want, the man his mother marries Hammish Fraser Laird of the clan Fraser, turns out is his real father. He goes off not in the best of moods to get away from all the couples in his life who are dare I say the word are in love, something he swears will never happen to him. I can almost hear the Gods laughing, because then he meets Nora Fraser a lass who does not melt at his handsome looks, in fact at their first meeting she gives him a black eye. Nora has a secret that could cost her and her brother’s lives if known. I loved this story the characters are believable; Nora’s brother Will and an old soldier Geordie are her closest family. There is greed and hate, attempted murder, and an uncle and cousin you will love to hate. But will love conquer all, read the book and find out for yourself. I know you will love it
