Now to be honest I did not overly enjoy book 1, Keeping Lily, it was too fast paced for me but all reviews I read for book 2 said to read book 1 - I did and I am glad because you need to meet Lucifer before you get to Andrew. Lucifer is an interesting character and it is great to see him progress further in this next instalment.
Amy and Andrew's connection both physical and emotional just clicked all the way and then add Amy's beautifully adaptable daughter Abigail and it just cements itself as a great romance read. I read this in a day, it gives you everything, passionate sex scenes and then mystery and suspense.
We also return to see Lucifer and Lily who surprisingly felt more together as a couple and I actually enjoyed them in this book and also seeing more of their family.
Jonathan and his interactions with Abigail, looking after her and Amy, he was a favourite character for me in Stealing Amy. I would also love a story on Simon as I think he will have a strong web of protection around his heart and it will take a special girl for him to lose control.
This author duo brought IT, spanked IT, then dropped the mic, and swaggered off stage right with their heads held high. Really!?! You betcha – ‘cause no sooner was the last word read, off I went and one clicked this book AND book one. With just my first read from these two, they now have me so wrapped up in their mafia world, I can’t get seem to get enough. I’ll be greedily snatching up any more book offerings these authors decide to drop from their mafia genre.
Please don't make me wait too long.
The story picks up just after the epilogue for KL. Garden City is in chaos (at least the underworld is) as Lucifer has unleashed hell for the attempt on Lilly's life. Amy is forced into the war because she caught the attention of the wrong man. Now Andrew has decided he can do a much better job keeping Amy and her daughter out of trouble than she has done herself. Of course she has some issues with that, but ultimately she knows he's right.
More intrigue and dark romance to come. Side note - the hot scenes in SA were HOTTER!
P.S., the ending with Adam shocked me, made me laugh i disbelief and just shake my head. I cannot get his answer out of my head ("It was the most effective way to get rid of him", said with a small smile too!!) If you want to know what I mean, read to find out 😉. He is definitely Lucifer's son.
Went back to purchase the first book in the series as I really liked Izzy style of writing.
Andrew knows he wants to make Amy his. He even brings her daughter Abigail to his house. She can leave but its not safe but if she stays she is his. She knows its wrong but she cant resist. He even gets her daughter on his side. Will Amy stay with Andrew until she is safe or will she escape for a quieter life.
I'm keeping my eyes open and my Kendal charged waiting for the next book of the Disciples series.
