Stealth Cam, introduced in the year 2000, quickly became the leader in scouting camera innovation. When performance and price come together, Stealth Cam has the perfect solution, the P12 Scouting Camera. The P12 is a 6.0 Megapixel compact scouting camera, with a 50-foot range designed to capture wildlife activities. It is equipped with an Energy Efficient design, Burst Rapid-Fire Mode and Quick Set for fast and simple set up. With less time available for scouting, many hunters trust their scouting cameras to aid in this time-intensive activity. Hunters that have experienced the frustration of checking their game cameras only to find the batteries to be dead will be pleased with this new Energy Efficient Design and time saving set up. Beyond the Burst Mode feature that delivers 1-6 images per triggering, this little gem is equipped with a mini USB output for quick downloading capabilities in the field. The digital 3-D camo housing adds to the conceal ability of the P12, giving hunters 'eyes' in the woods. Programming the P12 Stealth Cam is easier than ever before with the easy Quick Set dial that has three Preset modes, along with the manual set-up mode, preventing frustration as you set up your gear into the field.

You can not go wrong for the money with this camera if you use it for scouting or just enjoy watching the wildlife in your area. Here are a couple of pictures I have taken.
After checking around, we decided on this one. It's smaller than our older one, less bulky and less heavy than the older one.
This camera takes color shots by day and infrared shots by night. It can also take a burst of pics. We have it set on the highest level of burst shots which is 6 for this camera. (When I bought this, the description said 9, but it's not, it's 6, at least for ours.) You can customized what you want a little bit with this camera with the custom setting.
The color pics are marvelous! I am so impressed! The infrared photos are just as great! And with the burst shots, you get to see more of what's happening outside as they take them consecutively.
We found this camera very easy to use and figure out.
We've had the camera for over a month and the batteries are still showing a full charge. We set the camera up in our yard so it takes constant pics. We clear the card every week. We've had almost a thousand pics taken and the batteries are holding up way, way better than I thought they would.
We put in a 16 GB card. At one time, it's held over 450 pics without being close to full.
We set the setting for images on mid level. Wanted to see how good the pics were and we are extremely pleased with how well they come out.
We have not tried the video setting yet. It can take up to a 15 second video I think. Once we try it, we'll let you know how it works.
It also comes with a pretty big strap so you can attach it to trees or whatever. We used it once, it worked well. But we decided on putting the camera on a tripod instead so we could move it around the yard without too much hassle.
We are going to buy a couple more of these to put around the house as security cameras. With the SD card, there's no having to deal with wires, computers or wireless that you have to deal with for normal security cameras.
I would for sure recommend this camera. The price is very reasonable for this great camera.
With the resolution set at its highest the day pictures are good, but the night pictures are low quality. If you want to see a clear detailed image, don't buy this camera. Also, I wouldn't recommend this camera for long distance shots; I would say 30-40 ft. max.
It does not use up batteries too fast.
Easy to operate.
I recommend this camera for someone who needs an inexpensive camera using it at closer distances and does not mind having low quality images.
