About the Author

Scott Foster is a research analyst and writer who worked for American and European investment banks in Japan and Korea for more than 25 years. He is currently Partner at TAP Japan, an investment consultancy in Tokyo, and Alliance Partner at Translink Corporate Finance, a multinational investment banking group headquartered in Europe. Scott is Asia editor of the Strategic News Service (SNS) Global Report, author of the quarterly SNS Asia Letter, and a member of the SNS Future in Review (FiRe) conference advisory board. He holds an MA from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (1982), a ­first-degree black belt from the ­Karate-no-Michi World Federation (KWF), and an instructor’s (shihan) license from the ­Tozan-ryu school of shakuhachi (end-blown Japanese bamboo flute) music. --This text refers to the paperback edition.
