Puddle Jumpers Floatation Device by Stearns. Make the water a fun and safe place for your child! They'll love these kooky characters, while you'll appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing your little waterbug is safe. The cool design of Puddle Jumpers takes the old "water wings" concept one step further by attaching arm floaties to a piece that fits over you child's chest, which offers up great stability while also allowing for free range of motion in the water. Getting your kids to wear a life jacket has never been easier thanks to the Stearns Puddle Jumpers flotation devices. U.S. Coast Guard-approved, the Puddle Jumpers come in several color schemes, including such imagination-spurring designs as the green frog, the orange smile, and the red ladybug. More importantly, the floats aren't just for looks; they're also a great confidence builder for kids who are just learning their way around the water. The patent-pending design allows your child a free range of motion and terrific stability in the water, so your boy or girl can safely float in place, swim in a straight line, or play with friends while you watch contentedly from the side. Relaxing in the water will never be easier or more fun that with the Puddle Jumpers life jacket. The Puddle Jumpers are designed for kids who weigh between 30 and 50 pounds.

The grandparents bought our 2-yo and 4-yo each one of these, and we could not be more pleased. We have used them in the pool, the lake, and even the Gulf. They provide much more stability than water wings, but allow more freedom of movement than the full-body flotation suits. The kids notice a huge difference, and it shows in their confidence in the water. Within minutes of wearing the Puddle Jumpers, our 4-year-old (who is generally timid in even bathwater) was leaping off the diving board and wanting to be tossed in the air.

Two points of warning, which are not enough to warrant even a one-star deduction: If your child is on the smaller side, you will want to be *sure* you cinch the strap tightly around his chest. Our 2-year-old has never slipped out of his suit, but a couple of times when we loosened the strap the wings slipped down below his elbows. If he had wanted to, he might could have pulled his arms out.

Also, I am not kidding about these suits inspiring confidence in your kids. You may find your kids feel invulnerable around the water, even when they aren't wearing the vest. You will want to be sure their confidence doesn't make you less vigilant in monitoring the kids in the water. No life vest or flotation device is absolutely fool-proof, and any kid can find himself suddenly in distress.

Have a fun and safe summer, everyone!

My 2 year old son loves his floatie! We both love the freedom it gives him to move around in the water. He doesn't have to be held anymore which he loves! He'll float on his back, front, and upright of course! It does not flip him face down as other life vests we've tried. Also, he is under 30 lbs (the manufacturer says it fits from 30-50 lbs) and it fits him just fine. He is 26 lbs. I almost didn't buy it because of this but am so glad I did!

My son is 2 1/2 and was afraid of being in the water - he was always clinging on to me. We have tried 5 or more different types of live vests and devices and nothing made him feel safe..until puddle jumpers. He loves it, it is comfortable and he is able to "swim and move around" by himself. We have only tried it in the pool, not in the ocean or lake where there might be rougher waters. But it works, he is confident and enjoys the water more than ever. My son is loving the movie Finding Nemo, so the orange one was excellent for him. This product is very much worth the money.

Seriously. These are THE BEST life jackets for littles. We have 14 months through 4 years old learning to swim and be comfortable in the water. Anxiety levels in these kids range from natural born fish to oh holy heck, don't put me near that water. These USCG approved safety devices have been a tremendous help in getting everyone IN the water and making it so I can handle more than one grandchild in the water at a time. They help maintain balance give the littles the confidence to tackle the "big pool." They are the only flotation device (other than more traditional style USCG approved life vests) that our local pool will allow in. We found these last year and have added four more to our pile because everyone had to have one.

I purchased this for my 3 year old. She loves it! It gives her the freedom to swim "by myself" (as she likes to say). It allows my husband and I to play with her in the water rather than just holding her. She uses her "ladybug" all the time. It gives her freedom of movement and is not bulky like some other other ones.

I think this vest is wonderful! My 2 year old wears this in the pool and swims all over. He even jumps in the water and he comes right up. This keeps his face out of the water, but he's kept at a good angle for swimming too. Overall, this is perfect, I definitely recommend this!

A friend recommended this float to me and I'm so glad she did. I have a 3 year old with Down Syndrome and we have tried many different life jackets and floats. All of the life jackets we tried pitched him forward into the water face first. Water wings on the arms were just not enough support for him. I bought this float for him last year and it was worth every penny! We have an inground pool so my son is constantly in and out of the pool playing. This float is so comfortable for him that he doesn't mind wearing it in or out of the pool and best of all it works. It keeps him upright while allowing him the freedom to move his arms and kick his legs. Being in the water has helped to increase his upper body strength and he can propel himself all around the pool at will. He is so confident with the float on that he now jumps into the water from the side of the pool on his own. We use it at our local water park too. It is also a Coast Guard approved floatation device. Now I recommend it to all of my friends with toddlers! It truely is the best float on the market!!

Great for my 2 grandsons. While I would never leave them unattended in our pool, these make it possible for me to stay dry while I watch them from the decking! But mostly of the time I'm right in there with them. As a former competitive swimmer, I never believed in these, but if the kids have never had lessons, then one is forced to hold them for hours or take the risk of "sink or swim". Not on my watch! So "swimmies" it is. And their arms are free to help them stroke a bit so they hold them up & serve a bit for that.
