It will hurt if someone throws it at you! the tip is not pointed, and it only flexes about 1/2" (at the tip) and has a very solid feel, (feels like hard plastic).
I have dropped it, thrown it swung it and more, and it still maintains it's original shape!
it is also very well balanced, the weight of the handle it about that of the blade.
All around a good knife for training or airsoft!
It is a rigid plastic reproduction (with dulled blade) of a kabar.
Two complaints. First, it is lighter than a metal kabar. Of course, this sounds logical and perhaps should have been expected, but after reading the many five star reviews I had been led to believe otherwise.
Secondly, the plastic is rigid and the knife blade, although not sharp, is long, hard and thin. This product is not safe for full on sparring or many forms of martial arts practice. A solid thrust with this to the spleen or liver could very well induce serious internal injury.
In conclusion, I'm not saying this product is bad. I think it is a good quality plastic replica of a particular knife. It just has the two traits I've mentioned that caused me to rate it lower than many people. I hope this review gives potential buyers a better understanding of what this product is like before they buy.
I did about five hours of Airsoft the other day and I actually used the knife to get two people out! This knife is very good! I use it with my spring Sig Sauer P226, so pistol in one hand knife in other.
I have now gotten about ten or so people out with this knife. It's really a good knife, especially for anyone with a gas blowback pistol. I know have a GBB M9A1 pistol and use it with this, it's comforting to know that if my pistol runs out of ammo I can always maim the guy.
I would use this to get your form down, then find an actual dull-edged metal trainer to practice sparring after. Overall, not a very useful purchase for the long run.

Typical Cold Steel quality. These trainers are excellent for Military, Law Enforcement or Martial Arts practice.Published 2 hours ago by Moran Tactical
Very useful rubber training knife. Not too heavy for using in my Escrima practice, but firm grip and not flimsy. Would recommend this for martial arts class use! Read morePublished 2 days ago by Kip V. Freytag
This is very realistic and has some weight to it. It is a heavy rubber, there is some flexibility to it but the tip is rigid enough to feel like a sharp knife. Read morePublished 3 days ago by Jessicute

Exactly what I want in a trainer. Gives way when it needs to, holds strong when it needs to. Just the right size and balance to mimic the Marine style combat knife.Published 15 days ago by Kristen Davila
My office was broken into about 3 weeks ago (not the first time) and so I took up learning self defense from my brother (he is a marine). Read morePublished 18 days ago by Amazon Customer
