From the Manufacturer
The SteelSeries 7H headset features 50mm drivers that deliver rich and detailed audio reproduction. The headset offers two interchangeable ear cushions: open-type cloth covered foam ear cushions with hear-through functionality, and closed-type leather ear cushions with noise dampening foam that increases passive noise isolation. It can be dismantled into four separate pieces allowing for compact and easy transportation.
The 7H Fnatic Edition was co-designed by one of the world's most accomplished gaming teams, Fnatic. Fnatic is a professional electronic sports team consisting of players from across the globe who all make a living through competing in video game tournaments. The Fnatic team won the ESports Team Of The Year Award in 2006 and 2009. Fnatic is currently supporting a list of highly successful squads in StarCraft 2, League of Legends, Call of Duty, and Counter-Strike to name a few.
The rich and detailed sound that the 7H delivers is powered by 50 mm drivers for a superior soundscape. It's crucial in gaming that sounds are both clear and recognizable. The sounds of footsteps in an FPS game or a notice in a MMORPG game can be the difference between winning and losing. The soundscape for the 7H was precarious to achieve. In order to be both an awesome headset for gaming as well as a powerful headphone for music, applications and VoIP, the 7H was tested and perfected by gaming professionals and musicians to achieve great sound for all ears.
SNDblock Ear Cushions
The 7H Fnatic Edition is equipped with unique SNDBlock ear cushions that are made of both cloth and leather materials. The ear cushions provide sound isolation from an inner leather layer and comfort from the outer cloth layer.
It's no secret that concentration is essential for a great performance. Background noises can be disturbing when you're trying to aim at an opponent or complete a mission. The SteelSeries 7H Fnatic Edition headset is the solution you've been looking for with its optimized design and SNDBlock ear cushions, drowning out the noise isn't the only way to maintain control.
Perfect For Travel
The ability to disassemble the 7H into 4 pieces (earcups, headband and cord) makes it ideal to travel with.
The 7H features a durable, double braided, nylon cord with a built-in volume and microphone control. You can simply adjust sound levels manually instead of having to adjust it in your software settings.
The uni-directional microphone can be retracted and hidden in the left ear cup. This signature SteelSeries headset feature allows users to operate the headset in any type of environment, whether in your own home or out in public, with out feeling ridiculous with a microphone projecting out of their cans.

maybe a 3 1/2 stars out of 5. The mic quality is SERIOUSLY bad though, just be aware.
Also the sound quality is bad. Yes it's 7.1 but the sound is really dull. No bass.
They are comfortable and the noise cancelling works well. Those are the only reason why I'm giving this 2 stars.
PS after a few days the microphone on this has got to be one of there worse even at +30db boost people say it sounds like i am far away.

so you can get it out of you view "when gaming" but also the sound and fabric quality is excellent "you avoid sweaty years due to the fabric.
Sound 5 stars
Wear 5 stars
Mic 4,5stars "simply due to setup issues plug it directly into your soundcard "used the usb converter steelseries mic did not work with it
(but 5 stars when its set up because it works. flawless after that.
Delivery was not great paid for first class delivery just to find out that it wasent even send after the first 3 days. "they said due to lack of stock would have been nice to know and get told not having to pay for the postage "got it refunded the postage"
but i review the product not the delivery.
I am happy and i would recommend anyone buying this version simply to avoid the wannabe leather fabric on the cheaper h7 model that gives you sweaty ears after 15 min use.
I can only recommend it
Not intended for music.
