Guaranteed durability. Cherry MX’s keypress guarantee ensures your switches will work and feel the same for more than 50 million clicks.
More Than a Feeling
It doesn’t matter if it’s the first keypress or the millionth, your keys will always feel brand new. Every switch maintains their same key feel over time, which is critical for building the muscle memory needed to play at the highest level.
A durable keyboard is essential to every gamer’s battlestation. Created with the toughest plastics and reinforced with a battle-hardened steel back plate, we’ve gone to extra lengths to ensure the construction and materials can withstand anything you throw its way.

Yep, it meets my expectations. I also found the keys, despite being cherry mx reds to be a bit more clicky than the other keyboard (don't remember the name, but it's steel series' full sized non backlit keyboard). This is something I loved - mx red feel and responsiveness with even a nice little feeling of solidity on downstrokes. It's not loud, but it just feels nice.
The backlight is nice, and can be adjusted for brightness.
The keyboard is hefty, feels like it'll last forever and its amazing to me that it's non ghosting despite being a non ps2 keyboard (only through USB. I was skeptical too.)
If you're in the market for a keyboard that doesn't look like a baby transformer, but practically performs like one, this keyboard should basically be an autobuy.
It was immediately detected by both computers that used it, so no usb driver problems. Also, Steelseries Engine 3 will detect this keyboard, giving you a few more options. You can change the back light intensity, I like mine turned down because blue light blinds you at night. You can change the polling rate. You can also record and bind macros to any key, which is neat if you're into RPGs.
Basically, this keyboard is just fine, and if you spend even a dollar more on one, you're being extravagant.
In general, I'm not a huge fan of mechanical keyboards. I'm a software developer and type quite a lot, and I've just grown very used to my mac laptop keyboard, which is very low profile and "squishy". But I bought this keyboard for gaming (obviously) on my Windows machine. I really don't like to type a lot on it, but it's amazing for gaming! Great tactile response and feel! Make a great "clunk" sound, that most people want when buying a keyboard like this. It'll be hard to go back to a squishy keyboard every for gaming.
One thing to note. It's VERY bright! I haven't played with the settings, but I bet you can turn it down and/or off during inactivity, etc. I personally love the bright keyboard, as it lights up the room nicely in that corner when I'm shutting off the lights and going to bed. Luckily I don't sleep in that room though. If this was in your bedroom, you may not enjoy it being so bright. If this is a concern, make sure you check that the settings allow control of this.
I'm super happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new keyboard that feels super satisfying to type on.
