Best Sound & Super Durable headset

Perfect for kids that are hard on headsets. My kids have broken so many headsets. I did A LOT of research before buying these. My primary requirement was DURABILITY. But because I am certain that no headset is indestructible I still wanted to stay in the lower price range. This brand, SteelSeries, had consistantly good reviews across tech sites and buyer reviews. This model, P300, is an older model (2015 is what I understsnd) so it costs much less than the newer headsets (As of March 2019, up to $340 for some wireless models).

It has a really cool design, unlike any other headset I've seen. The "suspension headband" and the memory foam ear cups make this noticeably comfortable, which was not a feature I cared about at all.

I like the retractable mic. I don't think my kids will be disciplined enough to retract it when not in use, but I could see this being a good way to protect it when shoved in the PS4 drawer.

I was mostly surprised at the sound quality. So much that I made my kids do a sound quality comparison on this set and the other 3 headsets we have. Everyone agreed this had the best sound.

They're the same as the SteelSeries Siberia v3 (even according to SteelSeries themselves).
It's a single 3.5mm jack with mic (three stripe) which is typical for most headphones with mic and comes with a speaker & microphone cable split.
Don't really think it'd work great for ps3, would for ps4; I use it on PC.
Works great for me, amazing performance; though I did have to boost the mic a bit.
Though, weird thing... When I mute the mic sometimes people can hear the audio that I'm listening to... o.O

I have the similar model (Siberia v2 usb) that I use on the pc and it’s the most comfortable feeling headset that I’ve ever owned so I figured I’d grab a pair for the ps4.
It’s about the same product as far as look and feel but I was very disappointed with the audio. The quality is top notch but the lack of volume settings leaves to be desired.
I have a hard time hearing voice chat within games as there is no volume control and overall the volume is weak.
The only reason I’m not mad is that the pair I got we’re $30.

It’s above and beyond most $30 headsets, it’s just not as powerful as my v2’s, but I understand the two products have different purposes.

Product was great for for the price while it lasted. We have had it just 2 months one week and the right side sound has stopped working. Product is still in mint/new condition otherwise. Contacted SteelSeries and they won't support the warranty due to the product being purchased by from an un-authorized reseller. So keep in mind that you won't have the manufactures warranty coverage when purchasing this from Electronics Club.

Got these on sale for $30, best value for that price across the whole market. Great sound, long and short cord, comfy.

Only issue, I have a huge head, and these headphones aren't quite big enough. Astro a40's fit me fine at Max size, these could use an extra half inch or so. Still comfy and worth it.
