From the manufacturer
SteelSeries Siberia v2 Full-Size Gaming Headset (Black)
The Siberia v2 headset is a member of SteelSeries’ iconic Siberia line, which revolutionized the gaming headset with unparalleled comfort and sound quality. The headset features a beautiful design, enduring comfort, and excellent audio performance all in one package.
Extreme Comfort
Siberia v2 is built around the Siberia suspension system, the most comfortable headset headband in the world. This lightweight headband is designed for maximum comfort and a perfect fit during long gaming sessions. SteelSeries believes in keeping the gameplay heavy, not the gear you’re wearing to play it.
Retractable Mic
We mounted the microphone on a gooseneck boom arm so it is unidirectional and retractable. This maneuverability makes it ideal for clear voice pickup as you can position it how you see fit or it can be hidden away in the left earcup when it isn’t needed.
Control Your Audio
In-line audio controls give you easy access for controlling your volume and microphone right on the headset’s cord. This is especially handy when you don’t have easy access to in-game or system volume settings.
Superior Sound
At the core of the Siberia v2 Illuminated’s incredible audio experience are 50mm SteelSeries speaker drivers that pump out crystal-clear, full-range audio. We want you to hear more, know more and win more.
Noise Reduction
The earcups feature a passive noise-reducing foam, which helps you to focus on the important audio and voice communications while not being distracted by outside noise.
Custom-Engineered Soundscape
Our engineers specifically optimized and tuned the acoustic environment for accurate reproduction of in-game sounds such as footsteps, alerts and gunshots.

Most comfortable & most awesome-looking headphones I own

I will give you my review on 4 areas.
The comfort/feel, the mic quality, the sound quality, and additional things it comes with.
1st of all, the comfort/feel of the headset:
The comfort on the hears with these is PERFECT! I'm someone with slightly bigger ears than others (still not big enough to say I have big ears though) and I wore these for hours on day 1 and they only started hurting after 3 hours. By Day 2, I wore them for 6 hours straight with NO pain whatsoever, the only thing it did was make my ear area a bit hot/sweaty. I wore other "over-Ear" headphones but none could ever fully cover my ear or provide comfort enough for long gaming sessions, but THESE got the job done for me. The top of the headphones is great and is made for bigger heads. It is very comfortable and I have no problems. On Day 1, it felt like it was slightly squishing my head, but after Day 2, I stopped feeling it.
2nd, the mic quality:
I saw reviews of everyone saying the mic is bad, but my view is different. The quality of YOUR VOICE is VERY GOOD (not spot on, but still very good), BUT your the mic is just VERY LOW. Since these comes with 3.5mm jacks, it was put down under as "Microphone (High Definition Audio Device)" rather than "Steelseries Siberia V2" like the USB version, so I had to go INTO the "recording devices" in "sounds" and manual boost the mic since it's default was WAY TOO LOW. I literally had to shove the mic into my mouth to just make a small sound. Even after boosting the mic to 100% and also boosting it to MAX on SKYPE, my overall voice was just normal but due to maxing both, there's always a small buzzing noise. It's not annoying at all, but it's just there. So it's annoying to have to go into my system to boost the microphone, but overall it's still a pretty good quality. Also the mic itself, you can pull it out to adjust and bend it so you can put it away from your headphones. My friends can hear what I'm listening to when the mic is all the way in, so being able to pull it out a good distance and push back in very easily is nice.
3rd, the sound quality:
The sound quality on these is AMAZING. Before getting these, I bought some normal $60 headphones from Sennheiser, a company that everyone praises for their headphones, I returned them due to them hurting my ears badly, BUT I noticed that the Siberia V2 comes to PAR with the headphones in sound quality in my opinion. So the sound quality is not only very good but it even comes to par with NORMAL $60 sound dedicated headphones (Comes to par, maybe a bit lower, a bit higher, it all depends on how you see it.). The only problem for some would be that these aren't that loud. Even after raising the volume on the headset all the way and my system volume, the overall sound is just SLIGHTLY high. Also even though it's just slightly high, the sound will be picked up by the mic if it's fully docked it/not retracted out. So if you like blasting music, you'll be slightly disappointed.
4th, additional features/items:
The Steelseries Siberia V2 (White) comes with a cable pretty short cable BUT comes with a extender that makes it a whopping 9 feet long WITHOUT reducing the quality of the mic and sound. It also comes with a EASILY retractable mic that can stretch out a nice distance and band while EASILY being able to be pushed back it. The wire also comes with a switch to turn off the mic or lower/raise the sound volume. Also, if you have to use the extender but don't want to deal with the remaining length of the wire, don't worry. The Siberia comes with a nice amount of twist ties that you can just reuse to shorten/maintain the cable length. Also comes with 2 Steelseries stickers if you want to slap them on something like your PC (although sadly these are "square/box stickers" rather than just "Logo peel" stickers.....I have no idea what the actual names are). Also the color and overall design of the headset looks awesome.
Overall Review/Score: The SteelSeries Siveria V2 (White) Headset is AMAZING in comfort, Very Good in mic quality BUT pretty bad in pickup/volume, Great in sound quality coming to par with $50/$60 sound dedicated headphones, and a very good wire length.
As an overall gaming headset, I give it a [4 out of 5]
BUT seeing how you get this amazing quality for only a bit under $60, I give these a [5 out of 5], seeing as they exceed others up to this price range by a landslide.
*Construction*
Yes, these are mostly plastic. But there are still good ways and bad ways to make a product out of plastic. These look and feel amazing. The LEDs are implemented perfectly and really are what seal the deal on this product's visually satisfying aesthetic.
*Comfort*
When I first put these on, I instantly fell in love, just for the comfort element. I came from a headset that had way too much tension and overly padded headband that just made them uncomfortable, not fit well, and gave me a headache after about 20 minutes of use. The Siberia v2 is comfortable on my ears and my head, and I could easily wear them for a few hours before wanting a break. Very comfortable.
*Microphone*
I really like having the mic and volume controls in the cable rather than on the ear, or only through software. The USB cable is on the short side, but with an extension you'll have plenty of slack.
The microphone isn't studio-level (though you shouldn't expect it to be), but it works perfectly for what it is designed for: communicating. I also love that it retracts into the headset to keep it hidden when not using it. If you're using the mic for team chat or just talking over Skype or whatever, it provides a nice clear audio signal and definitely gets the job done. If you need to record your next platinum album however, you might need a pricier, dedicated microphone.
*SteelSeries Engine Software*
The SteelSeries Engine software is what you will need to download and install to be able to customize audio presets and LED behavior (steady pulsing, slow, fast, bright, dim, light up to beat of music, disable completely, etc). These options are pretty cool. You can also have it change the preset base on what specified applications are launched (with customized equalizer settings and all that).
With the SteelSeries Engine 2, I felt like it was a little bit bloated and wasn't a huge fan of running it all the time. But the new SteelSeries Engine 3 has since been released, and while not compatible with many of their older devices, it *is* compatible with the Siberia v2 Frost Blue headphones and is a significantly better piece of software than SSE2. Of course, you don't actually need to install either one of those applications if you don't want. You just won't be able to customize profiles, audio frequencies, LEDs, and such without it. If you have other SteelSeries products, the SSE3 covers most of them, so you'll only need to launch this one app to be able to configure all your SteelSeries devices.
Firmware updates are also a breeze with the SteelSeries Engine. After you plug in your device, it will show up in the devices list along with some alert text notifying you if there is a firmware update. If there is, you just need to click the alert and wait about one minute for the firmware update to download and install. Piece of cake.
*Sound Quality*
In this price range, I am not typically very picky with sound quality.. As long as the audio is not blatantly awful, I am not let down, since really involved discussion of headphone sound quality can't really be had until you get into the several hundred dollar range. Yes, there are better sounding headsets, but these do sound really good compared to almost any other set in its price range. And being USB powered instead of only a 3.5mm audio jack means it can have more power for bass than unpowered headphones. So I really like the sound I am able to get from these. And if you choose a good preset for your use (or customize it specifically how you need) through the SteelSeries Engine software, they can sound even better.
*Summary*
Overall, there is a lot to love about these and nothing to hate. They are comfortable, sound great, look great, and are overall better than nearly any other headset in the same price range.
Pros:
[+] Some of the best sounding audio I've heard in this price range, especially when configured properly
[+] Looks and feels incredible, despite being primarily plastic
[+] The blue LEDs are a nice touch that really up the appearance and 'cool' factor
[+] SteelSeries Engine software makes it easy to configure the LEDs and audio presets, along with providing a simple process for firmware updates (and compatible with SSE3)
[+] In-cable volume and microphone controls are great, and much more convenient than on-ear controls
[+] Microphone retracts to hide it when you don't need it, keeping a sleeker appearance
[+] All-around extremely comfortable to wear.
[+] USB-powered means better sound quality and bass than unpowered 3.5mm headsets
Cons:
[-] USB cable is pretty short, but shouldn't be a big deal with USB extension cable
[-] However, USB means you can't use this with many devices a 3.5mm headset can be (phone, iPod, etc)

Top reviews from other countries
Perhaps my only complaint is that the cable without the extension is a little short (or feels a little short) and with the extension is a little long, but that's really insignificant.
Unfortunately, it seems like they have raised the price considerably which does affect its value (I got $50 dollars off mine due to a gift card and the original price was $60 at the time). Even so, if you can find a cheaper pair, they are definitely a good option.
In the words of Leonard Rodriguez, it's definitely "a buy".
I ordered the V2 and Its built, Quality, Comfortable Ear Cups with Cushion factor, I Simply LOVE IT!
Its been an YEAR over since i have ordered these and during long Gaming sessions i dont even feel they are on my Head; Its Head Strap Is comfortable and If you are going to Use a Mid Level Gaming Headphones Believe me its the BEST EVER than Available Razer or any other of this range.
Just Go For It...
