A built-in effects processor can provide ambience and other effects.

SteelSeries Software to Craft Your Experience
Using the driver software on Windows systems, you can access the 12-band equalizer and master volume settings. The built-in effects menu let you select from a myriad of effects for both input and output. You can fine tune the virtual surround sound through a drag-and-drop GUI to get the perfect 3D audio experience.

you're better off buying an internal pci-e sound card and plugging your 3.5mm into it. its about the same price and will give you much better audio results
First however, the packaging was pretty bad. The outside looked great, but the soundcard was personally not placed very well. The sides were coming apart as well.
Second, the product was defective on arrival. It didn't work. The bass didn't come out, and my mic was not functional.
Third, the quality isn't that special. My friend had one but I had never tried it, but once I did, it was barely different from my motherboard's soundcard.
Overall, it does what it describes. So I had to give it 4 stars. But the quality was pretty bad. It is pretty good for cracked jacks or a broken inner soundcard. Personally, I suggest a PCI soundcard.
4/5 stars. A very generous review for a DOA product.
First ask in white, is black . According to the sound card connects the cables do micro noise. Third this should not be the original card because the original works with window 8.1 is let the sound to "STEREO" .
I'm sad, so expensive and in fact does not work
Out of the box the mute button was stuck. The updated drivers from the manufacturer did not solve the problem, nor did the FAQ on their support webpage. With several comments about the same issue I expected some type of feedback or recommendation from the company.

Still trying to figure out how to work the presets and profiles they mention, but so far, so good!
