I normally refrain from writing 1 and 2 star reviews because I've found, in general, such reviews tend to be noisy. In this case though the 2 stars are, in my experience, warranted:
Right out of the gate, I can see the liner has been cheapened. I can see through the liner to the inside of the leather. Not so with the old pair, even after 5 years of use. When it comes to picking up something hot, I want that liner. And the stitching isn't what it was either. The seams stop well short of what the last pair offered, leading me to give extra heed to others who've been pointing out similar deficiencies recently.
Needless to say, I don't see this pair holding up to 5 years of use. They are being returned for a different product.
My only note is not really a complaint, just a note: These are a hair thinner at the glove than my regular heavy duty welding glove I use for handling hot metal in the shop, I can pick up a hot ember with those & not feel it much. The extra long gauntlet gloves you can feel the heat pretty quickly doing that, but they are great for putting in more wood and positioning it in a reasonable amount of time. Only had them a couple of days so cannot comment on durability, but compared to the heavier welding gloves I have been using I'd say they should be very durable.
the gloves need to be replaced with after hundreds of hours of fight and
tug and pull, also lets him be rougher than when we do the play only
bare handed - old man mike
PS i am sure they must be fine welding gloves also
