Love the Stella Pro Reflex S light! I dislike the misleading statement that it is a kit!!! A kit without a substantial AC Adapter power cord, and a bracket to attach the battery power source to a light stand is not a kit! It is a light and a battery. I have relayed this inquiry to Light & Motion, the company of this product. Hopefully they will develop such a kit, instead of charging users a la carte for these additional items.

It’s a cool product but customer service is horrible. They claim it is durable but the connecter to attach the battery was broken. I was going to return and purchase another but they wouldn’t guarantee a full refund on a broken item I received one day prior. That’s very disappointing for a “durable” $1000 light. I had some one 3D print the part and it works but I would refrain from doing future business with them.

I will be returning. The concept is great but not there yet. Possibly the next version will work better. I purchased 2 of the, Reflex 2's. One didn't work. The working one was inconsistent in exposure. It also has issues turning on. I hit the white power button on the battery and it doesn't turn on until I unplug it and plug it back in. Every 3rd or 5th frame was over exposed in burst mode. There is no 1/20 thread on the bottom of either the light or the battery pack. You are forced to buy Light IN Motion's overpriced nightstand mount $59 each and the speed ring adapter over priced at $159.00. For $2367.00 I would expect more.

Amazing Lights

The Reflex S has been my go to lights for over a year. I got tired of lugging around big 600watt light. I can fit four of these in my camera bag. They've been used multiple times a week for over a year and no issues at all. Durable, light weight, convenient. One of the only lights this powerful that acts as a constant light and a strobe depending on your needs.

Finding the Stella reflex lights has been such a huge breath of fresh air. I don’t even know where to begin but I will tell you my story of how I ended up with these lights. First of all, as an equine and pet photographer, there are some situations where I may not be able to use my strobes, such as a dog that has an extreme fear of storms or while at a performance event with horses. As much as I love being able to use strobes- I needed a solution to fill in when I couldn’t use strobes. After countless hours spent researching continual light and thousands of dollars spent on terrible low-power continual lights that were large, bulky, and just didn’t do the job I was feeling stumped on where to turn. Plus I was stuck carrying both strobes and my continual lights just in case I needed them which wasn’t realistic.

I discovered the CLx10 shortly before the Reflex lights were introduced and as soon as I got my hands on it and realized how much brighter and more durable it was than all of the other continual lights I had been trying to make work, I knew that I had found a brand of lights for me…then the Reflex lights were introduced which were smaller and more versatile as they could replace my strobes and continual lights in one tiny package. I was in love.

The reflex lights blew me away in my 3-week long event where I photographed 150 horses and dogs and they ran for nearly 3 weeks straight on continuous mode, they were such a game changer. No more giant bulky lights to tote in and out each day- no more worrying about lights getting knocked over because I knew without a doubt that these lights are durable and rugged- and I didn’t have to worry about the dirt and dust in the barns impacting the lights.

My next test was at a dance studio using them on burst mode with the battery packs- they worked for a week straight photographing over 1000 dancers, the battery pack on them lasted for what felt like an eternity compared to any other strobes I had used in the past and I rarely had to charge them which was so nice.

At our dog events- we could seamlessly switch from burst to continual mode when we had a dog that was afraid of the lights or apprehensive. It was truly such a great thing to have.

I am now the proud owner of 6 reflex lights (soon to be 8)- and the CLx10. My CLx10 actually lives in my office and is the light I use for all of my zoom calls and for recording courses.

As a traveling photographer that works around thousand-pound+ animals that are unpredictable in dusty environments the durability and portability of the Reflex lights is completely unmatched.

Nice and lightweight

I picked this up at a conference and immediately used it. The battery lasts a long time, and it was pretty easy to sync with my trigger. Pretty much shot with it for the next 5 hours with no issue. Only prob I have with it is the lack of a simple connector for bowens mount. They went with profoto mount instead.

I wish I could give 6 out of 5 stars if there was an option.
First the product is wonderful , nice color grading ,works well with my sony cameras as well as Olympus camera high speed shooting in both continuous and multiflash modes . I can even combine with godox flashes V860 iii .
Second - customer service is above and beyond anything I have ever seen . When ordering my iphone automatically changed the shipping address to a similar address in another state . I found out too late .The guy it was delivered to refused to return. I had ordered two 4 stella pro reflex s lights and 2 went to wrong address. light and motion had zero fault in it but despite that they decided to return half of my money . I had spent a year saving for these lights . When I called the first time the person was so sympathetic and genuinely concerned that even if they not return money but their understanding of my pain would have earned them 5 stars but this truly is amazing .
