The #1 reason we got this is that we move A LOT! (We are a military family) because of that I loved the easy assembly and take down. I also have seen these before and noticed that they were not flimsy.
I have a 3 1/2 year old who likes it too, but she can be a little rough with it. Sometimes she stands on the platform, holds the arch and rocks back and forth with all her might. That makes the climber hop with each rock and the joints a jiggle a lot. I'm sure if she did this enough it would cause the climber to fall apart. We could easily put it back together, but I don't consider it ideal for older children.
There are partial steps on one side of the climber which the kids like to climb up and down or hang out on. The slide is small for their sizes but they still love going up and down it. They also like to go in through the little back door and hide out under the platform (the platform is half the width of the climber and is where the kids stand on before sliding down).
This was very simple and quick to put together and is very sturdy. The platform and slide has survived repeatedly getting jumped on by my 6 year old. I keep thinking this is the day they are going to break it but it's still in one piece! :)
While it is sturdy enough, be careful when you mve it around to vauum etc. It is easy to install but you still got to be a bit more careful unlike moving it as freely as you would another light-weight furniture.
My only wish is that the slide was a little bigger. My kids are very tall for their age. It kept them (twins) busy from 1.5. I gave it to a nearby day-care, as my kids outgrew the slide before they reached 3.
