Why Play with a Sensory Table?

|---|---|---|---|
Sensory ExplorationSand and water play introduce kids to new textures, temperatures, sights and sounds. Actions like splashing engage multiple senses at once, and encourage children to actively use their senses as they explore. With sand and water, every movement presents an opportunity to see, hear, and to feel something new. |
STEM LearningEarly physics concepts like motion and flowing are present in water play. Water toys with slides, spinners, and funnels are a great way to teach kids about cause and effect. Incorporate learning into play by letting kids make predictions about what will happen when water enters a spinner, or a rubber duck is placed on top of a water slide. |
Language + Social SkillsSensory sand and water toys help kids build important social skills like taking turns and experimenting with role play. This kind of play is also great for widening a child’s vocabulary, as they start using words like “splash”, “sand”, and “float”. |
Physical + Motor SkillsSand and water play are a great way to practice physical development. When your child pours water or sand from a bucket, they practice both physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Sensory toys like sand and/or water tables also help develop fine motor skills and the pincer grasp as kids practice squirting, stirring and squeezing different accessories while they play. |
Play Together!
- Seaside Storytelling: Get creative with sand and water play! Make up a story about any character toys you’re playing with. Where are they from? What’s their favorite thing to do on the sand or water side? See how silly the stories get as you build off of one another to add more details!
- Buried Treasure: Hide small toys in the sand and have your child dig them up! Make it harder by adding a time limit to see how many items they dig up before the clock runs out.
- Sensory Exploration: Instead of sand and water, fill the water table with dried pasta, beans, or rice to create a fun sensory play area to use indoors or out.

Came in time, easy to put together. Now, I will say that there is a stopper on the water side that leaked really bad. Plus there is a waterfall tower that just couldn't get together. Called customer service to ask for help. Was certain I was doing something wrong. Right away she was very nice, shipped out a new stopper. Informed me that it may be defective but part will be here in 4 days the most. She informed me that this company has a 3 year warranty, so please keep receipts. When I mentioned how difficult it seemed to put together the water tower she added a replacement for this also. Said it's possible that it got warped. Well, these parts came in 3 days & worked great!!! Best part is I didn't even know that there's a 3 year warranty!!
The bad: just like others it leaks and the water wheel is flimsy, I had to fasten the pieces together with a couple of fasteners to keep it from falling apart.
I can rig up the drain so it doesn’t leak and tweak the other stuff but it should be redesigned to fix these problems.
Tip: I put some plumbers putty around the drain and it stopped the leak. I also put some small screws and rivets in the water tower to keep it from falling apart. I realize not everyone has a rivet tool, but some small sheet metal screws (#10, 1/4”) will work

We’ve only filled it with water. My sister has a different one thats a little smaller that was bought at a tag sale theyll use for sand.
I’m not sure where all the negative reviews came from, unless maybe they received defective ones?
This doesn’t leak. It was very easy to put together.
The toys that came with it are great! He loves them. The slide part does tend to fall apart time to time but only if a lot of pressure is put on it or if you take the entire thing off. But Just pouring water in the bucket to have the water go down them, it works just fine like it’s supposed to. I mean it’s plastic... but durable. Just like anything else, if your rough with it, it’s gonna fall part.
I recommend buying this before summer while it’s still on the cheaper side. I paid about $40 for this. I bought it as an early bday gift for him since he can use it now that the weather is nice again.

No efectuó devolución o remplazo porque mi hijo ya no la soltó, en verdad le encanto.
Se que Amazon en ocasiones ofrece productos abiertos y por ello su precio es menor, pero al hacer la compra no venía ninguna nota al respecto.

Assembling the slide portion of the tower is a PITA and every time the tower piece gets knocked off, which is constantly because there's nothing really holding it in place, the slide portion falls apart and you have to re-assemble it to satisfy the fans. Maybe I'm missing something but it's so annoying I'm inclined to glue it all together.
Para ser perfecta necesita 2 cosas: que la torre haga algun tipo de "click" ya que se cae con facilidad y que la cubierta tuviera seguros para poder guardar el arena ahi mismo (sin que la saquen los niños fuera de tiempo)
