Sweet, naive and innocent heroine who smashes the hero’s control and restraint? Who looks at the hero as if he hung the moon and stars and drives him insane with need? Check, check and CHECK!!!!
This is jessa kane at her best, weaving a short story around forbidden and scandalous love and how it will not be denied. Super steamy, fierce, and filled with emotion that sucker punches you right in the feelzzzz.
The only part that bothered me is was HOW LONG they kept their relationship a secret, but at the same
time, they were committed to one another—they just couldn’t show the world.
There’s no cheating and no ow/om. Heroes past isn’t mentioned. Heroine is innocent and is claimed by the hero. He isn’t going to ever let any man crawl between her legs and take what belongs to him! HEA with an epilogue.

First off let me tell you I adore Jessa Kane she writes wonderful insta-erotic romances where you just need to suspend reality and enjoy the escape they offer. The sex scenes are always AMAZING and this book is no different.
The beginning of ‘Stepbrothers Secret’ was great and intense and while I felt so sorry for our heroine living alone in a swamp you sense the chemistry immediately. However when they finally get together it's just sex and when he declares his love for his step sister to the reporter near the end it's just turns to complete nonsense.
No woman would be happy living in the shadows basically being someone's sex toy not for 12 years. If he truely loved her he would have found away for them to be out in the open.
I normally love everything Jessa Kane writes but this book was just to far fetched and unbelievable even for me all it does is make you want to slap the two main characters.
Sometimes Tristan was so infuriating... He let Cate changed into someone she's not, even going to erase her southern accent. The boy regretted it but then even though he wanted for the world to know about his love for Cate, she decided it was okay being his secret... For twelve years, and with a child! It was insane but I still loved reading their story!
