UntilI read this book, I didn't have a good enough reason to do something about sugar and carbs without paying for a weight loss program of some sort. I kind of need to be hit over the head with hard-to-argue facts that make me want to change. The author had me laughing at one point because of how effectively she convinces readers of the nature of sugar and wheat. "It is no longer about will power and self-discipline but a biochemical addiction." 
This book is exactly what I was looking for. The scientific explanations and the spiritual reinforcement provide the yin and the yang balance I need to make a successful lifestyle change 
Convincing and beautifully structured, I am grateful for the knowledge and experience the author shares in 
7 Steps to Get Off Sugar and Carbohydrates. I lost 11 pounds, my husband, 18 pounds in two months. We will probably never return to eating the way we used to eat. 
This book rewards and encourages its readers. You will learn how to overcome food addiction that we Americans have developed, in part, thanks to the food industry. I learned so much from this author who overcame a multitude of health issues. 
Afew of the many things I learned:

I stumbled upon this book when I was browsing nutrition books on audio. I'm a new Christian (baptized earlier this Jan.) and because this book is based on God's path, it's one of the reasons why I chose it and bought all three paperbacks (and bought the audio version of the main book with my Audible account).

I've learned about sugar and flour being detrimental to health, and also researched ketogenic nutrition. I believe a no-sugar, no-flour lifestyle is the way to go. I'm still struggling, but I have not finished the study guide yet. I will get to where I need to be, I believe it because of this book.

Last year, I was on a doctor monitored nutrition plan of no-sugar, no-flour and in six weeks my blood pressure was normal, my cholesterol was normal, and my blood sugar was normal. Finally! I relapsed, but now that I have faith and these books, I'm on my way to being my healthiest. I am not giving up! This is what God wants for us all. This is the way God intended us to be.

There is one contradiction in the book that I think I figured out and that is... the mention of not eating peanuts. Although peanuts are naturally grown in the ground, one of God's natural foods, it is one of the nastiest crops ever because of the way they are grown, right? So unless they are non-GMO peanuts, they should not be eaten, right?
